Took my 2011 civic in for regular rear drum brake maintenance and was quoted $1,100. Even including rear shocks this is no where near worth a reasonable quote. Told them I didn't want the work done and charged me over $120 for "labor". Ended up doing the work myself for $150 in parts

Pay attention to your check engine light. I didn't and our 2013 Volvo XC70 started to overheat on the interstate. We were more than 100 miles away from home and I was worried that the car would go into limp mode. Fisher's was a mile away from a small hotel we found (lucky!!!) and I took the car in early in the AM and they cleared a spot on the schedule for me. Turns out a belt was shredded, and thus the water pump was not working. Car was fixed by afternoon and we were on our way. The bill was quite reasonable, and they were courteous, understanding, responsive to travelers in trouble. If I could give ten stars I would. So thankful that there are still businesses out there like that.
