Do yourself a favor and avoid this crummy place like the plague! I used to bring my cars here all the time. Today I went in for an inspection, and within two minutes they told me my car failed for having “two bad tie rods.” What they didn’t know was that I had just come from VIP Tire less than fifteen minutes earlier for a fifteen-point inspection, and everything checked out perfectly. I even had the paperwork with me. When I asked to see what was supposedly broken, they first said they couldn’t because of liability, then finally let me look. The wheel didn’t move at all. The owner claimed the other one did, but when I went to look he was putting all his weight into it trying to make it rattle. It didn’t. I told him if he wanted to fail it, fine, but I wasn’t going to sit there and argue about something that clearly wasn’t broken. Then his mechanic came out, touched the wheel for one second, said “yeah it’s broken,” and started screaming at me in the bay about how I “don’t know what I’m talking about” and “where did you go to mechanic school.” He kept shouting “do you speak English” and waving his hands in my face. I left the bay and went to the counter to pay just to get out of there, but he followed me inside yelling the whole time. I went back to VIP Tire, got a printed copy of my alignment report, and returned to the shop to show that the tie rods were fine and the alignment was perfect. The owner told me, “if you disagree, call the registry and file a complaint.” I said I would, and he grabbed the papers out of my hand, started hitting me with them, and shoved me out the door. I’m posting this because people should know what kind of behavior I just dealt with at this place and to think twice before bringing their car there. If they tell you something there is busted, I would strongly suggest getting a second opinion or to just avoid that place all together. I filed a report with the state and they’re sending an investigator to look into their inspections.
