I have a1994 jeep ,which I bought new, I took it to them because I noticed back fenders appeared to be rusting ,also a couple of bubbles on edge of fenders. I got estimate and okayed the work to be done ! Then they called me and stated there was more work to be done, they then adjusted the estimate and I agreed ,to the new estimate! The car was finally finished! Later than they had figured which they said was because the painter wasn’t able to do it then ! Every time I dropped in to see how progress was ,the bodyman kept reminding me how money he was loosing doing my car ! Finally got my car home ,looked great , had a few things to redo ,nothing serious but I did them . Now about at least two years ,I had dropped in to see owner but was not available but finally brought car to him and showed him the paint bubbling around the door window frame also the windshield frame, which they replaced was also starting to bubble .He advised me that he said it wouldn’t be a good paint job ! I wasn’t restoring my jeep ,which I had had from day one to inferior job . He seems to assumed ,for his pleasure that I didn’t want a good job ! I had someone look at it they said it wasn’t prepped properly, going back to attitude of the bodyman ,negative! I hadn’t spent the money and time looking after my car to Mickey Mouse the job . The owner said he told me it wasn’t going to be a good job ,which is a prefabricated story, I will not do that or say that as I’m keeping the car ! So anyone reading this surely has seen my jeep around and know this is not true .i still wanted my jeep fixed properly but it seems they do not stand behind there bodywork and paint,so anyone thinking about having them do bodywork and paint ,read this and if you see me around I will show you the work . Bill Thorick. Being a tradesman myself I am a strong believer in doing good work . I did agree to there additional costs as I was keeping vehicle ,as they state it is a old vehicle but it is worth restoring and I had maintained it since 1994 .i figure $6000 was high but I assumed it would be a good job. They made the adjustment to cost and I agreed ,not as they state ,IN MY BUDGET. One pays a good dollar one expects a good job , the estimate of $6000 is not cheap but I wanted to keep the jeep , twisting facts does not work in business . Like I said if anyone would like more info ask me so I can show you what my concerns are . Is easier to show .I’m glad few people have looked at the work ,and as I said you make your own decisions ,hope more people ask me But summer will come moladsomeone rather than argue here .!
