    I had to pick up parts today. After spending almost 2 hours at DMV and driving in the rain and traffic, Robert was very welcoming. Robert is the person who greeted me and handled my purchases. Very friendly and kind.

    FEBRUARY 28 2024 I don’t even know where to get started. Just know I am the wrong person to be mistreated unprofessionally because one thing I will do is run my mouth! TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION I was referred from a coworker for a transmission for a total of $800.. deposit $400 to order and $400 when it arrived. Everything was fine until it came time to deliver the part. Someone name ROBERT assisted me and stated they delivered parts on Wednesdays and Fridays. Urgently needing my vehicle, Tuesday afternoon i paid my deposit and talked to them before they closed to make sure that they were able to deliver Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning I gave them a phone call as soon as they opened and they told me that the driver already left out for delivery and that I will have to wait till Friday. (FIRST RED FLAG) Friday came they delivered it the transmission late in the evening my mechanic has been expecting them all day to get started on it and even stayed after hours the shop closed that way it wouldn’t be outside. No phone call to update me or let me know that it was delivered (SECOND RED FLAG) but now at that point i was getting frustrated because I had to wait until Monday for them too start working on my vehicle -_- transmission was replaced but when it came time to program it at the dealership they told me the serial numbers were scratched off the transmission -_- I called Robert he told me all he can do is give me a refund and that he no longer wanted to service me another transmission. At this point you can tell in Robert’s voice that his entire attitude and tone changed as if I did something wrong? (THIRD RED FLAG) MONDAY I asked what time they would be able to pick up the transmission again Robert says the driver is all full schedule for Wednesday wait until Friday. Friday comes I call first thing in the morning to ask what time it will be delivered that way the ppl at the shop look out for it. No exact time Robert says the driver will get there when he gets there basically. After that I went back to work, no phone call. Keep in mind I’m at work mon-fri 8-4 and I’m more communicative than he is. I called back around 3PM for a follow up and ROBERT told me that his driver was out and that it should be delivered shortly. Right then and there i made it clear where to deliver the part same place they dropped it off at. I mentioned that my vehicle was no longer at the dealership and that I had it towed back to the shop. Robert most definitely heard me say that over the phone because he said okay wait for the driver. One hour later I call back (not Robert) and he tells me that the driver left because he’s been waiting on me for an hour at the dealership -_- and I respectfully told Robert that was not fair that I had just got off phone with him and clarified that my truck was at the same shop that they delivered the transmission too and that he could’ve notified the driver at 3PM when I called for a follow up but instead he gets mad with me and tells he sick of this “BULLSHIT” there was nothing is he could do about it that I had no choice but too wait next Wednesday. Till this day I don’t have my vehicle it’s been over a month now never met them in person all the transactions were over the phone i am very disappointed because so many people had so many good things to say about this company but when it came to me they got over a nice young lady! I had my own mechanic come pick it up because I did not like how I was being talked too. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT but it’s cool I’m a woman of god karma is my best friend

    I had a terrible experience at Fitzgerald Scrap Yard when I sold copper to them. Not only did they offer me a ridiculously low price for the copper, but they also deliberately shorted me $100. , I trusted then and didn’t look till I got home when I checked the amount they gave me, I realized something was wrong. When I brought it up with the staff, they were rude and acted like they couldn’t care less. They tried to brush me off instead of resolving the issue. I’ve sold copper to other places before and never had an issue, but this was just blatant dishonesty. Do yourself a favor and avoid Fitzgerald Scrap Yard. There are much better and more trustworthy places to go. I’ll never return.
