Literally left for 30 minutes and my car was gone. Literally no signs except one in the dark by some trees covered in paint. Went to Harmon's to check something out. Not from around that area and they wanted me to come in the next day so it'd be "cheaper". Of course I said absolutely not and came immediately in. Paperwork said they towed my car within 10 minutes of me leaving it and charged for a whole day for holding my car in their lot. It costed $381 bucks because it was "after hours".

Legacy towing is towing 2-3 cars right here when there is a line to the left and a line to the right, there is no parking paint in other areas but not here, there is no red paint or anything indicating you can’t park there, been taking pictures of multiple cars parked there being towed, this is a scam and apartment complex refuses to do anything and legacy towing still thinks they are in the right, got my dad and his friend who are the best lawyers in the state of Utah involved and taking this to the court house. They are charging people almost $400 to get there car out. This is a large scam, taking pictures of the cars and license plates to show which cars got scammed and towed and collecting evidence.

Quite the racket this company has going with apartment complexes across the valley. Poor, inadequate, unclear or altogether missing signage .. and vehicles are still towed. Charging maximum allowable rates. We were waiting at the gates and saw THREE tow trucks go out within a matter of 10-15 minutes .. after 8:00 PM. Unethical and predatory business practices that should be looked into. BBB score of F .. and still in business.

My car was towed from an apartment complex. They said that I was parked in a fire zone. It was not marked. Every other hydrant in the complex had painted lines marking them, and most of them had signs indicating that it was a tow zone. However, the parking stall I was in had neither a sign or painted lines. Yet, it was still towed, and it had just reached the yard 15 minutes before I called to find out where it was. $316 later, I got my car and was told that I couldn't appeal it until after I paid.

300 bucks just to take back my own property. How is that not car theft? The signs at the apartment place really ought to be placed in a better location, not close to the ground, and behind a bush. I've never been to an apartment complex that didn't have free parking. I just assumed as long as I park in a spot that wasn't covered, or had numbers in the parking spots, I'd be fine. Not even the owners of the apartment knew about the parking rules. I'd rather just have my car stolen at this point, and not have these scumbags touch it. I can't even afford to eat now.

The staff is rude and standoffish when you request details on certain charges, they have factually incorrect information on signs claiming the state of Utah determines the prices, when all the state does is LIMIT how much they can gouge you, they choose to charge the legal maximum. When you request clarification on anything they immediately threaten police intervention. Their reception room is a third of a tiny trailer they keep excessively cold, and the one seating is a pair of child sized school desk chairs. To top it all off they are absolutely negligent when towing vehicles and managed to partially rip off my bumper and scrape the heck out of it. This is before mentioning they towed my car which was legally parked in my assigned parking space at the apartment building I live at, and did not even bother to inform me. All in all I'd recommend avoiding them like the plague, and reporting every single infraction until they are shut down.

My vehicle was towed by this company from an apartment complex. Upon inspecting my vehicle the morning after I noticed several scratches to the front bumper and drivers side panel. As someone who takes care of their vehicle, I knew these scratches were new. I also had these 2 parts replaced 5 months earlier, to the date. After contacting the company and sending pictures they denied my claim after “reviewing their footage”. I requested the video, which of course was denied unless I’d liked to take them to court. I knowingly parked in a tow zone and am completely cable of paying and learning my lesson. What I’m not okay with is this company not taking responsibility for these scratches.

Two car thieves came to the back of my house and tow my car on the empty land back of my house in the early morning on Sunday. Two hours I found out my car was towed, I went to the address provided by the website( website on the sign shows they open 8:00 am to 5pm everyday), but not one is there. All the gate was locked. Apparently, they are not even open on Sunday. Why the hell they tow my car while they are not even open for the car being picked up. They just hold my car in hostage. I parked my car on the land at 11pm Saturday night and it was gone the next morning. The Utah law requires 24 hours written notice attached to my car stating my car is being towed by private property owner before they can tow my car. This is illegal.

I wanna start off by saying. I Don't know how business like this keep operating. Yesterday 7/16/24 my car was Towed from my own apartment complex, with the sticker inside the vehicle. Anyway paid the $310 to get it back, and staff has an attitude that never welcomes anyone. Damages were done on my vehicle, this tow company did everything possible to forcibly open the vehicle. I do have pictures and also got them on camera. Damages on the vehicle are beyond $600 not to mention the $310 I paid to get it back. This company should take responsibility for the damages and be more professional when towing vehicles. They have to remember vehicles are private properties, NOT theirs!

This company should have its license pulled by the state! They are completely predatory. The staff is rude and unprofessional. I had to call the police to get them to release my vehicle. The police that responded told me that I should make a complaint with Utah DOT. This way a record of misconduct can be recorded so hopefully their business license can get pulled. Another person that had their car towed from the same location as mine was told that their car was 100lbs over weight and that it would be 800 to release it but that they would cut them a good deal.

My car has never been the same since it got towed from Legacy. I was very 😷 ill with Covid and had to bring in medication & groceries and my car was towed from having to load my things into my place. I was so weak and tired it took longer to get my things up stairs. In that time it was towed and I was hit with a $250 fee. I had to have a Uber take me while sick to get my car released. It’s AWD and they pulled it without it being in neutral. It was negligence and the right thing to do would be to fix my vehicle for the damage caused. The very least would be to get a check back for the $250 under the circumstances. Very cruel to do to people during these hard times. It would be nice to see tow trucks help others in FL or the cars that have been sitting for months instead of towing people for short periods where circumstances are involved. I hope in the future with me or someone else you do the right thing. Better business and kind professionalism goes further with word of mouth rather than preying & chasing the bag. 💰 Take a lesson from Stauffers Towing out of West Haven they have 4.2 rating of reviews and give back to the community. Despite being a towing company who has to get a job done and abide by regulations they tow and go about it in a humane manner & practice their services with business ethics.

Predators…. My BMW rear view mirror is too thick to hold the parking pass, it was in the center console, they towed it on the 11th. I did not receive the notification until the 17th. In Utah, towing companies must follow specific notification requirements outlined in Utah Code § 72-9-603. For private impounds, the law mandates that the towing company must notify the registered vehicle owner within two business days of the impound. They charged me $540 to get my car out and I thought it had been stolen. I will be filing a complaint with the Utah Department of Transportation or the DMV, as they oversee towing practices and handle disputes related to improper towing and impoundments.

My vehicle was towed from my own apartment complex for being "abandoned". I have lived here for 4 years and I go on a few vacations to find my vehicle missing. The tow company decided to charge the maximum the state allows and claimed the price couldn't be negotiated because the state set the price. That is a lie. The state just limits them from charging even more. The only good part of this company was the tow driver in the yard who chatted about how cool the vehicle i had was and how it was a shame it was in the tow yard for this reason.. Legacy. You should be ashamed of yourselves for gauging people when it take 5 minutes from my apartment to your tow yard and charge the maximum $201/hour and not pro rate it for how much time it actually took. Please consider not being so scummy and helping the average American out. Companies like this are the problem with our country....

Prowling parking lots and sticking things on windows to cars of people who PAY for their parking is not great business practice. Also next time maybe use super glue with your stickers if you wanted them to damage cars worse. In a world where people are struggling to afford to eat, you find joy in making everyones lives harder. I pay to park in front of my apartment, I had my pass up. I'm not sure how you have the right to threaten to tow my property. I'll get my car registered, and I'll skip groceries this week. Hope that's what you wanted! Also let me just skip a work day to cater to your ridiculous 24 hours notice!!

Extremely un helpful. Predatory and really unprofessional. The cleric didn't give me much to talk about I asked about why the price was so high for stealing my car and holding it for 9 hours and she didn't give me really any help. $400 for a 3 mile tow and they charged me gas to. I understand I gotta pay but some of these fees seem ridiculous. Admin fees. After hours fees like I called them? Storage I understand but this is quite alot for a 9 hour car jacking.

100% PREDATORY TOWING COMPANY! If I could give negative stars, I would. This company is rolling in the dough driving around condo and apartment complexes towing vehicles illegally. I swear they really go for the complexes that have almost zero guest parking and a crap ton of can't park here unless you are the Queen of England spaces. I was in the office for 10 minutes paying CASH (think Breaking Bad) since they charge you even more for credit card and in the short time I was in there at 8pm, 3 trucks with 3 more vehicles rolled through their broken gate. There were hundreds of cars behind their screened fence. At almost $400+ a pop, that's a lot of money going into to the tiny envelopes I saw the lady put my cash in. Truly makes me wonder if these complexes aren't getting kick backs. I will be reporting to the BBB and I hope everyone else does too!

No one ever likes getting their vehicle towed. I have yet to experience what that's like, but I do know I wouldn't like it. Then again, I'm not one to ever put myself in the position to have my vehicle towed/impounded. The other reviews on here, I'm sure, came from people who were badly hurt in life and said whatever negative thing they could about Legacy Towing. It is what it is. I do wish things were different for them and these other reviews, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I give 5 stars to Legacy Towing, because on a business standpoint, they are A1! Response times are top-tier; no matter the time - they do not lack when they give you a time of when they'll arrive as well as a time for when the job will be done! They'll even send you a confirmation picture showing the job is done. Their dispatcher personnel are top-tier; they are easy to work with and understand. If the driver has issues in relation to the service they're providing, the dispatcher personnel stays ready to handle whatever it is! The drivers are super amazing and of course, top-tier; I've worked with so many amazing drivers at Legacy Towing, I hate that I can't remember their names. One driver that has been super awesome to work with, is Terrick. Terrick was wery polite and super respectful before, during, and after the services provided. I thank Terrick as well as Legacy Towing for providing such great services!

Authorities need to look into this company and Meadowbrook Apartments- I am at Meadowbrook writing this and my truck was towed last night within 2.5 hours of parking. Visitors parking is in front of the dog park. I am assuming the worst, as they might some dealings with Legacy as where my truck was parked is clearly in front of the dog park and at the entrance of the apartment beholding and there is no signage NOT TO PARK. Their guest parking is marked as guest on the floor but being dark and not well painted one would assume otherwise. There are no directions otherwise. So, they quickly have you towed and when you come to complain they don’t want to hear. I already paid $314 so I am certain I won’t recover it. I feel taken advantage of and I hope authorities stop to check this place. If Meadowbrook management t doesn’t clearly mark their parking lot and yet continuously have guests towed, then, they should be fined. Everyone should be held responsible and Meadowbrook has equal responsibility to inform their visitors appropriately. If not, it should not be legal to have their vehicles towed. Be aware of this issue. It causes you a lot of inconvenience as well as being super expensive. Obviously signage missing here!

I got my car towed and when I picked it up and drove off, I heard scraping. I pulled over and looked under my car and my engine cover was bent and dragging on the floor. I had to rip it off to be able to drive. I walked into the office with the engine cover in hand and demanded help. THEY RUINED MY CAR!!!!! The front desk lady swore me off and started crying. So yall wanna give me a warning for having my bumper stand over the curb and leave that stupid paper on my window that leaves residue all over my window for weeks? Well next time you do that, maybe look around a little harder and realize that your own kind is doing it as well and give them warnings too...... or stay tf away from Wilshire apartments. You are pissing alot of people off! DONT TOUCH OUR VEHICLES until you can tell your less than intelligent drivers to check EVERY car. Negative stars all around do not call this company for help in fact veto them! Thanks for reading.

As far as having your car towed goes, I had a relatively pleasant experience. The people in the office were kind and helpful, which I really appreciated as I have never had my car towed before and was already feeling panicked about how expensive it would be to get my car back. Obviously, it still was a $300 expense that I really could do without, but I appreciate them being kind. Also, after reading the reviews, I was really nervous there would be damage to my car, but there was not.

Would give 0 stars if I could. $380 to get our car out, all because we didn't see their one tiny sign, well away from where we parked. When we got back and did see it, it was very openly worded, so even if you had seen it, you would think you were fine. Most money hungry company I've ever dealt with. Their credit card fee was $20 alone. Absolute joke

How is a company allowed to tow off private property for expired tags, but unable to look up the license plate to see if it’s actually registered or not. The DMV had an issue with mailing me my updated sticker tag, but my plate was registered for the full year, yet my car was at risk for being towed. It’s also almost $400 to pick your car up which is just insanity. Could this company be any more predatory? Yikes.

Towed my car because they said my parking pass "looked photocopied." Absolutely ridiculous and unethical reasoning. It's the parking pass that the leasing office gave me and it was in the correct spot in the car, as per requests from the leasing office. This company preys on the residents of my apartments, and I'm not the first person that this has happened to. Now I have to pay $300 to get my car out of tow when I didn't do anything wrong.
