This place is an absolute scam. They intentionally leave their towing signs confusing, and in darkened areas in order to lure people into parking, and then tow them.We parked in a parking lot next to a closed coffee shop with several other cars. We had dinner went back to our car to find it was towed. I talked with a man in a white crossover who told us that it had been towed, and we called the number at 9:56 pm and were told that it would be at least an hour before our car was fully processed. We headed back home in our friends car only to get a text 5 minutes later informing us that our car was finished. We arrived at the towing lot with several other people and were helped by a nice kid who was unfortunately being yelled at by multiple people for the same reason.Once we got our car, I started the appeal process and quickly received a blanket denied request. I called the tow company trying to reach Elizabeth, who refused to take my call and hid behind a young girl on the phone repeating the same statement over and over.I did not ask for an entire refund, but a slight discount because the total cost of retrieving my car was almost 300 dollars, and they had my car in their possession(from the time they saw it and started to tow, to the time i drove off with my car) for less than an hour. They refuse to listen or talk to people even when they are trying their hardest to be polite and understanding. This place is a joke and a scam.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They towed my car in the middle of a blizzard. They left my friends and I stranded after eating dinner. The signs they’ve placed are suspect, they are hidden in places with no light and are very small. The lady I talked to last night was decently nice but she didn’t tell me all the things I needed to bring to pick the vehicle up so when I arrived they had trouble. I made an appointment for 8 am and called them to ask how to get my car back and the person who answered was rude and short with me, the second time I called they hung up on me! Rudest service I’ve ever experienced in my life. You basically steal my car, charge me an outrageous price and act rude af when I come to get it back? So unprofessional. This is a huge scam and should be illegal. Truly doing the scum of the earths work.

Sticker got stolen off my car, texted my local apartment manager. They told me they would look into it and before I got a reply my car was gone the next morning right before I went to work. So I missed work and almost got fired…I feel as though if I’m a resident a call and warning would be nice considering I live there and had my parking permit the day before, but I got nothing. Apartment manager when I asked her for an update said “I’ve gotten a lot of reports about stolen tags so I’ll give you this one for free.” That would have been really nice if I didn’t need to pay $266 dollars to get my car back from the towing company they use. Anyways, I get to Legacy Towing and the guy that processed me was nice. One huge problem I had is that they make you sign the form before you go to see your car. On the form one part says “I have inspected the vehicle and I have received the vehicle in the same condition that it was in prior to being towed/impounded.” Well I didn’t inspect it and I made the mistake of giving my signature before I did. They ruined my front bumper and my traction control and abs lights won’t turn off. Moral of the story, don’t move anywhere that uses Legacy Towing and make sure to ask to fully inspect your vehicle before you pay or sign for anything. If they refuse, sue, it would be long overdue at this point. This review is going to be posted for both Legacy Towing and District North apartments as a warning to any potential renter out their and to people who are trying to get their car back.

My vehicle wasn't suppose to be towed! Let me explain:The apartment complex management had an agreement that no vehicles would be towed due to various things (some covid related, some management related etc...) The towing company began patrolling and towing our vehicles DESPITE the agreement. After my vehicle was towed, I called and they refused to honor their discussion with management. I caught an Uber, paid for my vehicle, received a receipt and the very next business day I spoke to management and they (Management) had Legacy Towing reimburse me for the towing. I received %100 of the money I spent. And also, they like to hang up on people and not give you a notification and/or contact you about your vehicle being towed. My vehicle was parked for less than 8 hours before it was towed immediately. I wasn't parked on the street and once again, no notice was given to me.

Outrageous tow fees!!! And I don't know who is responsible for the huge dent in the side of my jeep, but I do know that it wasn't there before they took possession of my vehicle. I had to pay over $400 for my jeep being in tow for 2 days. Great business practices and thanks for the dent in my car and the dent in my wallet. All tow companies are scummy but this one takes the cake!!!!

they taped over the part of the sign claiming that you need a parking permit then did not notify us that they were towing our car. we called the police because we thought our car was stolen and it cost way too much to get it out. not to mention they towed it at 4 in the morning.

Serving as the HOA President in our community and have been really impressed with the response times of this company. They make us feel like we’re the only community they serve. I’ve been impressed especially with the drivers that come in and work to keep cars off the curbs so the kids can play. Zach was in here last and he’s good at what he does. Thanks Legacy Towing for our partnership.Service: Vehicle wrecking

Unashamed thieves. My car was taken from my personal covered parking spot in front of my home. 370 just to get the thing back, I get it back with a dead battery and a stolen catalytic converter. How? That thing is literally welded onto the car. In the 15 hours they had my car, a 500$ piece of equipment goes missing and I have to pay them 370$ for the pleasure. Avoid this company like they are the plague. After seeing the tow yard and the office, please take that analogy too literally.

Took my car out of my apartment building lot when it was parked in an actual spot!! Not a covered spot or anything. Ive lived here for 3 years and have had no problem parking until today. Right out of a legitimate parking spot- and another car was parked in the same exsct spot when I went out and found out mine was stolen.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY......IS THIS A SCAM HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE PRICING SET AND WHY CAN YOU NOT LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW MUCH TO BRING OR BE PREPARED TO PAY...This Company is Bad. Legacy towing had multiple tow trucks towing out at The Exchange in Lehi. Which is a Big Development that has apartments, townhomes, and single family homes. There were signs posted in the apartment area since we have lived here. (Over a year) We went out to our vehicle and it was gone, we were not sure if it was stolen or someone played a prank on us. Then we found out it had been towed. But they were towing some cars but not all of the cars next street over still has cars parked on it. maybe one if the HOA board members lives on that road definitely makes no sense.. We live in the single family homes where the road is wide and we were told we could park on the road unlike the apartments and town homes where there isn't any space..They would not tell us how much it costed to get our car back. IS THIS A SCAM HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE PRICING SET AND WHY CAN YOU NOT LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW MUCH TO BRING OR BE PREPARED TO PAY....We had to go to them and they charged $350 dollars they had it an hour..... we were in the living room when they took our vehicle. My next calls will be to edge homes and whomever is allowing this scam to continue.. Someone in the HOA works for this company owns this company or is affiliated with edge homes. The tow trucks were staging at a Maverik just across the street they would grab a car drive over there as fast as they could and then hook them up to travel. There were multiple tow trucks preying on people like vultures...grabbing as many vehicles as fast as they could.
