They will low ball TF outta you. I was quoted $30 for a cat. When I got there they tried to give me $3 for it and say my ORIGINAL part was aftermarket and it’s devalued. DO NOT go here

I'm not into scrapping lots of metal. I have used them one or twice a year to sell my little bit of copper, aluminum etc...The workers have showed me how to get more money by removing some fittings that are not copper. They have advised me to remove some of the rubber coatings on the large copper wires. Once I had another metal that I thought was copper but it was something else that paid more. The staff pointed this out to me. The staff has been very helpful and honest. The staff even helps unload the car which I never expected. Its great that the drop off point is inside a building and not in a muddy yard that you get flat tires. They have been good to me.

Con artists. No prices listed. Staff is very rude. Some commenters may say they pay the highest. I wouldn't trust the word of a company/person that has 25 years of dealing with a person. 25 years, makes them family. Family lies for family all the time. Scrap companies will most certainly quote you a price over the phone, if you've nothing to hide. Other local places even go so far as to email current price lists on a weekly basis. I am not a partner, friend, co-owner, or investor in any scrap company. I have no vested interest in one over the other. I'm just a man simply telling the truth. I've been to all of the center's in a 100 mile radius. These guys are by far the worst. AVOID.

I have known MSM for 30 years and generally have mixed feelings when I go there. I always call first for a quote and as long as you understand what you are selling you can do ok.MSM doesnt buy steel last time I checked so I have no idea what one poster here is talking about 0.01 per pound for steel bars. MSM doesnt have the room to mess with iron.But to be absolutely honest, KNOW what you are selling before you go. I call around every time I have a load to sell. MSM may or may not be a few cents higher each time. The market varies way too fast to be dead on every time: Sometimes they need lots of aluminum and pay a little more, sometimes not. Also make sure your stuff is very clean and you can show them this. Mixed metals will always pay less everywhere, though some places are sloppy appraising and may make a mistake in your favor too. This is a tricky biz.
