Get the return policy in writing! Bought a starter from them because they had it immediately available online. Verbally told there is a 30 day return policy. Returned it (unused) in 20 days and they immediately told me they can't return it because they ordered it from another shop. He didn't even look at the receipt! Nothing on receipt said 30 day return so could not fight it. Don't take a verbal, get it in writing. Have never had a salvage shop pull such an antic, and I've been to many. Choose a different shop.

I recently bought a 2024 Subaru Impreza from Jay at Randy's Auto. Jay was fantastic to work with. He gave us a great deal, and was very friendly, easy to talk to, and communicative. He shared with us all the details of the car, the accident it had been in, the work they had done to fix it, and was very transparent with it all. I test-drove the car and didn't notice any issues, so I bought it and I drove it home (2.5hrs away). The next day, we noticed a clunking happening in the right passenger front tire. Every time we turned, the clunking was loud. I thought "uh-oh." The deal was too good to be true, and we got screwed. So I called Jay, because he had given me a short warranty on the vehicle. He recommended I get it checked out at a local auto shop which I did. Turns out the CV Axle Shaft was binding up and causing the clunking. So I called Jay, and he said instead of having the shop fix it (which was going to be pretty expensive), he would send a truck to pick up the car (I live 2.5hrs away), bring the vehicle back to his shop, fix the CV Axle and then deliver the car back to me at no charge to us. I was floored that he would do that. Especially considering it was a salvage car, and he didn't really have any responsibility to do that. Jay really demonstrated a tremendous amount of integrity, and was very communicative the entire time, he sent pictures of when it was picked up, pictures of it in the shop getting fixed, and when it was all done. He was proactive in communicating with us, I didn't have to badger or bother him for updates. It was really quite amazing. The car was delivered back, the problem was resolved, and he didn't ask for anything additional from us. I have to say, I'm very impressed. Jay demonstrated a level of integrity and professionalism and just all around nice-ness and good-human-ness that was refreshing and appreciative. I highly recommend him and Randy's auto for purchasing vehicles. You never know what you're going to get out there, and Jay and his team were top notch.
