Alright so this is from the perspective of someone who has only ever dropped off metal at one other scrap yard before. This was my first time visiting MetroBec and I found the place through Google Maps while looking for somewhere to get rid of some scrap metal left over from working on an old car.The entryway could probably have some better signage. The business name is hidden behind the trees a bit hard to see. What I appreciated most upon arrival was being able to speak to someone by the road... who despite seeing my small amount of scrap was very welcoming and explained to me where to go and who to see. It would be nice if there was more information on how the scale works upon arrival or on the website for future drops. I drove in my personal car with scrap in the trunk. I am not sure for example how the scale works in that case.It seems MetroBec will only pay if you have a reasonable amount of scrap... so for iron you would probably need a lot, while aluminium & copper not so much is needed. I remember a few years ago I brought a bunch of old ironing boards to a scrap yard near Ottawa and we got paid like 5$, sure it wasn't much but it was something and was still better than seeing the metal thrown into the garbage. Overall I am happy to see my scrap metal go to a scrap yard were it will be properly recycled.All the workers at MetroBec that I spoke to seemed friendly and bilingual. I spoke English and felt understood which was a big positive as many other businesses in Quebec there are always huge misunderstandings when I try to explain in French or English. Once I have a worthwhile amount of metal I will definitely come back. I look forward to seeing this business remain profitable and improve... as there is just to much metal and recyclable materials ending up in garbage dumps.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Well organized. Easy to unload metal. Great service when selling copper,brass,aluminum etc. Would recommend it to everyone. Keep up the great service!!!

Very good experience and friendly staff. Never have any problems when I go there. Been going there for years, from scrapping cars to just plain metal, never any issues.

Any one coming with 53ft make sure to make really wide turn if you are getting on scale...staff is really friendly and officiant
