Of all the places I have lived, Hating my garbage company has never been an issue until recently. We received a little love note from our driver advising us to leave our cardboard on the ground in the alley. They no longer want it in the provided plastic container. Absolutely, ridiculous to leave garbage on the ground... We DO live in WA for crying out loud. Have fun picking up wet boxes.... Thank goodness we are moving next month! No longer have to deal with this company.Service: Trash removal & disposal

SSC has been back and forth for me. I have had many moments of frustration as a new resident of Bellingham. Different answers for the same question is common, and a lack of action is consistent.HOWEVER, there is one that stand above others in customer care; with professionalism, skill, and care. Wendy P. helped me on the phone today for 20 minutes. I have spent more than 2 hours on the phone with representatives and not accomplished anything. Wendy was able to fix all of the problems that have occurred for weeks- stating it may take up to 15 minutes. She called back less than 5 minutes later to inform me of the resolution to my problem, and I cant thank her enough. She is a top notch employee and individual who deserves much credit for her ability to be very good at her job. The poor reviews are a result of bad hiring and the Karen' of the world being Karen's of the world- because people like Wendy make this a great company to work with. Promote her to leadership as soon as possible, she understands it.Thank you again Wendy!Service: Junk removal

Horrible prices, horrible service. I understand a delay from the recent snow closing lots of stuff down for a few days, but it has been A MONTH since our garbage has been picked up. No bill reduction and the only solution they can offer for everyone affected by this is “you can bring it to us”.

I've been using SSC for the past 8 years. The office staff are professional and friendly. Their garbage and recycling collectors are hard working and reliable. When I'm not home on my garbage day, all it takes is a phone call. They can reschedule it for the next time the truck comes back into the neighborhood, which is usually the following week. It's free, and they are happy to make such an arrangement. I'm sorry if you had issues with SCC, but my experience with them has been great. Thanks!

I get my garbage picked up every other week. So a missed pick up is a huge deal. In the years I've lived here I've missed pick up a couple times. They have graciously helped out each time. Service: House & garage cleanouts

I appreciate when I forget to get it out the 1 tx a month and they pkup the following week. Wish they could have posted on site during snow issued when they will be able to pull. I live on hill so I totally understand why they don't come up.

Office staff are incredibly rude. No sense of “how can I help you?“ at all. Olivia barks her instructions at you and just keeps talking right over you. Shame SSC puts people like that as the face of the company.

SSC decided that they will refuse to pick up our recycle. You know, the recycle that they then sell for another revenue stream. You'd think they'd want all the recycle they can get. There should be no monopolies allowed in this industry. I should have the choice to use another garbage vendor. I wouldn't recommend this service if they were the last garbage company on earth.

I thought I missed the recycle but the driver came around the block to check. I flagged him down and he stopped and help me get my recycle on his truck. I would had to wait 2 more weeks!! Thanks 🙏 Service: House & garage cleanouts

Update:After I posted something online about the horrible service, I got a phone call asking me to change my review because they "went out their way" to come out on a Saturday to pickup what was supposed to be picked up the day before. Sure ONE time they came the next day. What about the one the other 11 times? Not only don't they normally come back to get what they missed, but some times I have to wait a whole other two weeks to get the recycling picked up again. And I am not credited for the weeks missed. Sorry, but one time of coming back a day late doesn't make up for a year of missed days, or a manager who won't take responsibility for his employees horrible work.Original review:We are now up to 12 times in one year of having our street missed. The "manager" I tried to talk to is worthless and completely blew me off when I tried to complain to someone other than customer service. No one will take care of the problem. And have never been given any credits either.
