Another great visit/purchase at Tom’s. I needed a 01 Grand Cherokee alloy rim( 5 spoke “Hollander” type). With the great assistance from Mike at the counter- he found my exact rim. He graded it a B, I graded it a A- with barely a slight curb rash area. GREAT PRICE!! It’s going out for a chemical dip and all of my other rims to my powder coating guy. Again, many thanks Mike, nice chatting with you about Grand Cherokee’s

Excellent experience. Cal took pictures of the doors to make sure the condition was satisfactory before I took the hour long trip. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. 5 Stars. Thank you Cal.

My husband has sent me here few times for parts and since my 1st visit I'm always happy to return. Extremely friendly all the way around every time I've come- from greeting me when I walk in to loading my vehicle before I go. Last time I came I had my 1yr old in my arms and had to run back to my car for my card - I was noticeably rushing until the guy at the desk told me it's ok and to take my time. That may not sound like a big deal but it was! Before i even got to my card they were already loading my parts in my car being extremely extremely careful positioning the part to not damage my car and fitting it in the best angle. I am very grateful for all my experiences here- I will sure be back whenever hubby sends me - happily! Thanks again everyone at Tom's 🥳🤩🙌🙆♀️😎

Told me they had the part ready, hey there after driving 2 hours to be told they looked up the wrong part, the correct one is 3x the cost I was told and not ready. Wasted 4 hours of my day and the guy behind the counter simply tells me "the guy who you talked to isn't here" cuz that helps. Shop here of you want to get jerked around

Bought a couple doors for my truck a couple of weeks ago. Fair price but not sure why they cut the plugs off of the wiring harnesses. Wanted complete doors so I wouldn't have to spend too much time swapping them over, but because they cut the wiring harnesses had to spen a whole day swapping all of the guts from my old doors to the new ones. If you go here for any electric parts, make sure to tell them not to cut the plugs!

These guys are great, they are open on the weekend, have a vast inventory, and are very friendly. They even took the part out to my car and loaded it in for me. Its the little things in life. I've bought parts from them in the past and will again in the future. They are also online which helps find your parts fast. I always call afterwards to verify their inventory but its never a problem. Thanks again guys!

Amazing customer service! Friendly and reasonable services! I would highly recommend them if you've got a part you may need, or a used tire (which are always in Amazing condition) to a used replacement battery for your car.. Tons Used Auto is hands down my Favorite/Go to used parts place!!

This was the worst experience my father and I had. There are no guarantees that junk yard car parts will work and when we tried to get the price lowered (they were overpriced) the owner was a complete scum bag and instantly jumped down our throats. Eventually telling us to leave the junk yard. Worst Customer service ever! I would recommend never going here ever. We will never go back I think this owner is mentally ill honestly.

Nice guys but have purchased from there twice & each time the item has been described one way on the phone but in person it's condition is fair at best. Wasn't happy to have to point out missing pieces & parts to staff & have to ask that the item price be reduced bcz it's not complete or in good condition.

I had purchased a used manual transmission for $850 plus core from Tom's, I had my friend pick it up during business hours because I was at work, when I received the transmission I had noticed the mount had been broken off and crudely repaired, they refuse to give me anything back because of their poor repair in which they claim paid $175 for. I have to pay more to have repair completed correctly to make my work truck functional again in a short time. all I was asking for was $150 back from my purchase price to fund the correct repair. they told me to bring the unit back and I get a full refund, at the time, this is the only transmission of its kind in the state and cannot afford anymore down time with the work truck. they had also offered to change the damaged housing with my old housing on the core, but doing so would cost whatever transmission shop fees plus more down time and 60+ miles of travel one way. unit purchased is not worth the $850 I had paid

Had the part that was looking for at a good price 1 day turnaround time and I needed the spindle Hollywood driver side fender I can see that pretty quick I'd recommend anyone else who's looking for used car parts to go there

Bought a car from a shiesty mechanically uneducated jaggass, having many more problems than expected. After fixing the engine’s vacuum system issues, the transmission on the car started to overheat and eventually failed. Turns out it was a 1 year only model specific transmission, couldn’t find a remanufactured one and it wasn’t worth buying a new one, so I called these guys. Mike at Tom’s Used Auto Parts found me one with low miles and got it for me right away. Good prices and great customer service. Will always be the first call I make for used parts, these guys work for their customers.

I purchased a seat belt for my Acura MDX and Tom's was one of the ony places that had it in the correct color. I ordered it on a Friday and received it Thursday afternoon here in Virginia. Very pleased with the service I received from Cal. Would of given a 5 star rating if the belt wasn't covered in grease.

Not a good experience at all, I'd rather drive all the way up to Somers for used auto parts after what I went through at Tom's. The 'guy behind the counter' was a total scumbag, tried taking me for a ride on interior parts. They do most of their buisness online and don't have to worry about dealing with customers directly, and it shows! They'll do whatever they can to get your money, honestly or not. Avoid this place.

Don't waste your time with this clown. I went there for an inside drivers side door handle for a 2007 HHR. He was very confrontational to begin with practically brow beating me while asking if the handle was part of the door or not. I really didn't know how to answer him. He said the door was $600 and couldn't sell the handle separately. This after charging me $50 he voided the sale. Quite honestly he may have been the biggest fool I ever had to deal with. I was taken back by his behavior. If this is the way this guy deals with customers I encourage everyone to stay away. I really can't say which salvage guys are reputable but this guy certainly wasn't to me. On the other hand I got the handle from Richards Chevey in Cheshire the same day. Brand new for $39. If I did need a new door $495 brand new.

Horrible customer service. Scream on the phone and give outrageous attitude. Inventory parts they don’t have and then scream at you for asking if they have it in stock. Unreal. Complete waste of time. Emotionally unstable management and sales reps.
- TTammy Benning
These people are crooks. They sell bad parts and refuse to refund your money once you realize they are not in working order (even within an hour(s) of purchase). Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
- JJerry Daigle
No imports. Was told that they were in the waterbury location. Nobody was helpful except a guy name Scott. He was very helpful and seem to care that I was look for a taillight lens. The salesperson had not intention in helping me. Also not aloud to pick thru anything. Rn I have 6 cars that I'm looking after and a walk thru the "junkyard" and u know I could find some stuff. Damn you internet. I will be leaving the same for terryville auto. I also visited Ross and Websters. Look for my other reviews.

I never write reviews but the world needs to know what a great group of people they are. I would give them more stars if I could! I initially made the 4 hour trip from CNY with the wife and baby to alberts in thomaston for a specific part that I can't find by me. Just for them to be closed even tho they said they would be open until 1:30. After some thinking that we just wasted a whole day of driving and fuel i looked online once more and found the part i needed at Tom's 12miles away. Google said open till 8pm. We got there and they were closed but the owners were still there. Even technically being closed they gave some of the best customer service i ever had and pulled the part i needed for $125 cheaper and nicer condition than any of the other places. So the trip wasn't a waste, the wrong hours on Google was brought to their attention to be fixed and I truly wish I was closer to do business on the regular with them. From the "NY farmboy", thanks again Toms!

Easy to order online, staff helped me find the right piece and had it ready upon arrival. Pickup was convenient. Highly recommend.
- ffrank senick
Sold an old car to them it went smoothly. Also purchased some used parts from them. No problem with them, and there’s a warranty. Can’t beat the prices.
- JJay P.
Gave me a price over the phone then tried squeezing 15 dollars more for a core charge on a used power steering pump. I do believe false advertising is illegal
- bbrandon taylor
The best parts up decent prices can't go wrong And I've never had an issue I've been dealing with them for 16 years why to change a good thing
- AAnthony Pratte
I got a part frome them they foud the part but it was not the one i needed but what i was looking for was a hard ask but even after the second attempt they tryed to look for my part i needed and the didnt have it but they worked there tails off and tried to find what i needed .They gave me all my money back and said sorry .i will go there again nice people.
- AAaron Smith
They had the part for my truck, once we verified it's what I was looking for they had the part pulled and I was on my way. Will definitely be back in the future.
- DDoug Jones
Excellent service! I will call on these guys again for parts thanks again appreciate your help.👍
- NNick Maida
I've received a number of bad parts from Tom's. They are not customer friendly and refuse to have your parts ready when you come to pick up.
- EEric Lamont Ford
