We have been a frequent shopper at the Saturday morning Resue Centre and Karen & Al and all staff have always been very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We all miss Al and we long for a return of the annual reuse show held on site for several years at seasons end. Also it must be said that the staff at the weigh station are also polite and helpful and so too are the those staff that assist with unloading. And of course one would be amiss if we did not acknowledge the clollectoro who arrives curbside to take our waste away - always has a smile and does a great job. Some good team !!!

The rules at the dump can be a challenge to navigate and being a weekly user I still get nailed sometimes with extra charges for messing up. The customer service at the weigh station can be horrifying and if there was another dump I'd be going there. The workers inside are very helpful and friendly though.

They *never* come at even a remotely consistent time. One week will be 8:00 sharp, the next will be 4:30PM. I've even seen them just leave bags that *they* knocked into the ditch.

The fact that they’re open only until noon on Saturday is ridiculous. As it is, I’m writing this from the front gate at 11:50 and they’re closed, with no explanation as to why on the website, answering machine, or anything posted on the gate. Several other people, one of whom has a truck full of old Christmas trees and had an appointment to drop them off, are in the same position as me. There’s also something wrong at the weigh station. Several times they’ve tried to charge me for far more weight than I actually dropped off. If there were anywhere else, I would go there. The perils of taxpayer-funded government ‘service’.

Hours of service were more flexible, I would rate them a 5 star, in other services they are on the job, to let people know their mulch is great.

Guys at the gate are friendly and helpful explaining the rules. Yard guys are also super helpful. The grouchy guy who used to work in the building is not here anymore. 🙂

VWRM has more rules for getting rid of garbage than the air lines have on air travel. It would be nice to have a garbage (waste) collection service that collects the garbage and takes of it, whether they sort it, bury it, incinerate it or mulch it.So here's a big CHEER for the excellent collection drivers, putting up with the flack from disgruntled citizens, while management sits back and comes up with more 'wasted' ideas and rules like cancelling the fall yard cleanup to save money. Are there any other companies interested?
