This area is popular for fishing ? the Merrimack River. Trails are in a bit of rough shape from trees falling over. Not much litter. Parking ?️ area available. Nice views.

I absolutely love coming here for a short walk, and to give my mind a quick reset. It is a popular spot for photographers, and a small amount of wildlife. It is a very small island, but it is enough. The issue with this place is the parking. It has a lot that holds about 8-10 cars, which is great, again, small island, but trying to get in and out can be tough when people are speeding over the bridge. The other issue may be during a snow storm or a few days after, when there is a bigger snow. I did have an issue where it wasn't plowed great a few days after a storm and it took me awhile to get the car back out. (Need better tires I guess :) )

Terrible parking. Half of the ten spaces taken up by trucks from a local business. no place to launch a kayak from as at sides are all 20 foot rock walls. 200nyards to tip of island it flattens out but is completely cover with high grass and lots of rocks and boulders Avoid at all costs. It's too bad because it's in a great location for shorter paddling trips. Place should be closed up and let go to natural setting.
