⭐ 1 star is being generous Absolutely disgraceful experience. This company towed the car of a disabled Veteran while he was actively unloading groceries at his own apartment complex. Not abandoned. Not improperly parked overnight. Literally unloading groceries. When we called to ask if they even had the car, we were told it wasn’t in their system. Then suddenly, 30 minutes later, it magically appeared in the system. No explanation. No accountability. We drove 30 minutes to retrieve the vehicle, gave them over an hour to arrive, and when we got there no one was even at the office. Completely wasted time, gas, and added stress to an already ridiculous situation. When we finally interacted with the tow truck driver, he was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, stating, “That has nothing to do with me or the office.” That sentence alone sums up how this company operates. At this point, it’s hard not to suspect some kind of arrangement between this towing company and the apartment complex. Residents are constantly being towed for minor or nonexistent reasons, and it feels less like enforcement and more like predatory towing designed to generate revenue. This place does not operate with transparency, professionalism, or basic human decency. Read the reviews. The pattern is obvious. If you live somewhere they patrol, consider yourself warned.

My neighbor of 12 years was a tow-truck driver. I understand that people have to do even the worst jobs to make a living for their families. I believe that this profession can be done honestly and with dignity. My experience with G&G does not represent that. My truck was towed from a lot with confusing and unclear signage. They towed quickly from a lot with plenty of additional spaces and took it to their yard. They charged the maximum allowed in Austin and then charged additional fees, such as storage, even though I was at the yard before my truck was unhitched. Towing is a necessary occupation, but I’m not sure how someone can live with themselves knowing they’re scamming their own neighbors.

Unprofessional, misleading, and predatory towing This is the second time GNG Impounding has towed my car from my own apartment complex, where I am a resident. This should never have happened. Their customer service is extremely poor and dishonest. I was told to call one hour before pickup, which I did. When I arrived, no one was there. I called again and was told they could not help me that night. The next day, I called again and was told they open at 8:00 AM. I arrived at 8:20 AM — still nobody there. When I called, they suddenly changed the story and said I had to call one hour in advance again, even though I had already done that the day before. The employee then hung up on me. Meanwhile, they keep adding excessive fees while making it impossible to retrieve the vehicle. This feels intentional and predatory. This company wastes people’s time, provides false information, and treats customers with complete disrespect. I do not recommend GNG Impounding to anyone. Tenants should be warned, and property managers should reconsider using this company.
