Great place to scrap. Very competitive prices with helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend if you're new to scrapping, but also suggest doing a little research and sorting ahead of time.They're a very busy yard, and have a system for efficiency, and being prepared for your visit is basic courtesy and will get you more $$ for your scrap!

Did three scrap runs today #1 pp steel. Two of them were at second st they had my tare weight at 5500. At scrap it same set up nothing different had my tare at 6040 only went to scrap it to see if they was better definitely not. Where did that 500 pounds go on tare weight. And also scrap it was $20 less a ton than second st.

This place is amazing. The first time we went we really had no clue how anything worked, but each different employee we talked to was super friendly and helpful and made sure we had a good experience. More than a year later, we just went again and had exactly the same efficient, attentive service. If you are trying to get rid of scrap metal, don't be intimidated - just go to Scrap It! Plus it's super cool to see the big claw machine moving big piles of metal around.
