I had a horrible experience this last Monday morning regarding a waste management dumpster truck. As it was driving eastbound on ulmerton I was taking my mother from a doctor's appointment and debris that was loaded above the dumpster with a tarp over it was falling off the back and smashed into my car smashed my windshield did some damage to the front and then after they pulled over they wanted to stand there and refused that the debris that was in their truck actually fell out and hit my car and destroyed parts of it. Their insurance agent called once and after calling them several times each day I'm still not getting any satisfaction or word back from them it's like they're just going to let it go and force me to deal with the damages myself. This is a horrible way to do business especially when it's dangerous on the road, if my mother had been driving she would have wrecked the car and would they have claimed any fault? To this day I'm still trying to wait on hearing back what's going to happen, I hate to have to hire a lawyer to go after them but it looks like that may be the case

What wonderful employees work at Pinellas County Solid Waste! Yesterday, my husband and I dropped off a trunk full of household hazmat items. The gentleman who helped us was professional AND kind. We were in and out in 10 minutes and no cost! Today I dropped off a trunk full of tree limbs and railroad ties we had used for landscaping. The woman who collected my very small fee, was extremely pleasant. She gave my god-dog a treat and pointed me in the right direction. As I have the world's worst sense of direction, I ended up in the yard waste area instead of the hand disposal area. No problem! The man working there complimented my god-dog and set me on the right path. The man working at the hand disposal area looked at my yard waste and said I was at the right place. Quick and easy to correctly dispose of the material. So nice to deal with pleasant people who seem happy to do the best job possible. It made my day!

I was a first time visitor. It is well layed out, with very clear directions on what to do to drop off solid waist, and what can't be dropped off. All staff your very helpful and friendly. One employee came up to me at the dump site and helped me unload without me asking for help. The charge fir dumping was reasonable. Great experience. Their website has more info.
