I really enjoyed this salvage shop when I first visited a few years ago, which is why I made a point to come back. Unfortunately this time around the experience was very different. Prices were significantly higher than expected for salvage items, and when I tried to negotiate (which I’ve always understood to be part of salvage buying), I was initially told there was no room at all because he “wouldn’t even make his money back.” A second later that position changed, which made the pricing feel inconsistent.<br><br>I still love the concept and the inventory, but the pricing and negotiation experience didn’t match what I remember from past visits. Hopefully things balance out again because this used to be a place I genuinely recommended.

Just read about the closing... I understand, but we are losing a jewel! This is a mini-vacation, and a history buff's dream, all rolled into one. You will be missed. Stained glass windows were my weakness, but even if the budget said "NO", an hour or two of wandering among the treasures was good for my spirits. Best wishes for your next chapter!!! Deb Brooks
