These guys don’t know how to use a compression tester or they lied to me. I brought my Honda 30 to this place after having it not run well. This is my first boat motor and the whole experience has been overwhelming. I figured a Honda dealer would be reliable and honest so I trusted then with my business. After nearly 2 weeks they told me the motor has low compression in the bottom cylinder and that it will never work correctly. Every step of the way they tried to sell me a new motor. Very expensive and I really did not want to buy a new motor. I brought it to another boat yard and told them my experience. The other yard said Boat Guy probably did not even test it and that it’s likely a carburetor issue. I had the motor compression tested again at this other yard and all my cylinders tested with same numbers. It’s an awful thing to lie to your customers so I really hope your techs just don’t know how compression testers work. Enjoy my 230 dollars for nothing.
