I’m not sure when they officially took over trash service in our neighborhood, but it’s been frustrating ever since. We were given much smaller trash bins compared to our previous trash company, which was already a downgrade. The bigger issue is how the barrels are left after pickup. The barrels often get knocked over on their side and not picked back up. For example, earlier this week one barrel was standing upright, while the other was knocked over and left spread out across the driveway. It was left right at the bottom in the middle of the driveway, and I had to get out of my car and move it myself just to pull in. I understand with snow that barrels may need to be placed a bit farther over, we accounted for that and placed them to the side accordingly. Despite that, they were moved back into the middle of our driveway, creating an unnecessary obstacle. It feels like there’s always something, either a barrel is knocked over and left there, or they’re placed directly in the middle of the driveway. It’s frustrating, inconvenient, and happens far too often even without the snow to be brushed off as a one-time issue.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Carney Disposal, a waste management company that acquired my previous service provider without any prior notice. Imagine my surprise when I received an invoice from Carney Disposal, which was over 12% higher than what I was paying before. This was my first indication that my service had been sold. Concerned about paying an invoice from a company I had never heard of, I called Carney Disposal to confirm they were indeed my new service provider. When I inquired about the logistics of picking up the toters, I was met with vague responses and no clear answers. Additionally, I expressed my shock at the unexpected price increase and mentioned that I was considering other options for better rates. The representative's response was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of addressing my concerns, she sarcastically remarked, "That's good - you should do that," before abruptly hanging up. This is a terrible way to treat a customer, especially at the beginning of a business relationship. I urge potential customers to be cautious. Based on my experience and other reviews I've seen, Carney Disposal does not appear to be a reputable company. Beware of their poor customer service and questionable business practices. Yikes!
