I was unfortunately involved in my first car accident. A driver ran a stop sign and cut me off on dashcam.... Auto Tec was astronomically friendly, polite, understanding, knowledgeable. They helped me after hours removing the license plates from my totaled vehicle so I could purchase a new vehicle that day. I purchased a low mileage (approx. 78k miles, I drove about 8k this last year) 2015 Toyota Sequoia from AutoTec last February 2025. To say I am disappointed would be a gross understatement. 1 year later the vehicle cannot pass inspection due to frame failure that had been painted over to conceal. Much of this is my mistake for placing trust in their own inspection sticker as it likely would have failed last year too, but now I own a valueless vehicle. I have included the excerpt from the official inspection report to spread awareness of the level of danger they are willing to conceal and subject you to--a true classic used car sales story: "Findings: Performed inspection and found significant corrosion present on rear axel/subframe area, including advanced rust deterioration with holes formed in the metal. Additional rust was noted on structural frame components. Due to the severity and location of the corrosion, recommend evaluation by a collision/ body frame specialist to determine if frame is structurally repairable. Structural rust of this level affects vehicle safety and requires specialized repair procedures." Put simply by the mechanic "promise me you will not let your wife and kids in this."
