I recently had my 2013 Honda CRV repaired at Motorworks Engine Service in Amityville, and I can’t say enough about the fantastic job they did! This was my second time trusting them with my vehicle, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. Doug was an absolute pleasure to work with—professional, communicative, and incredibly knowledgeable, he handled everything with care and kept me informed throughout the process. The repair was completed efficiently, and my CRV is running better than ever. I highly recommend Motorworks to anyone in need of top-notch engine service!

I had my 2001 Honda Civic’s D17A1 engine completely rebuilt at Motorworks after it started exhibiting occasional overheating and stalling at around 200,000 miles. Gary and Doug were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in walking me through the process and finding the best options for me. I ended up opting for a complete rebuild. Although it was an expensive job (as expected for such a major repair), Doug and Gary were both transparent and fair with the pricing. I was appreciative of the fact they did their due diligence and replaced worn out accessory parts while not having me waste money replacing parts with a lot of operating life left. 10,000 miles later, the rebuilt engine is still running quiet and smooth. Feels like a new car. They even diagnosed and corrected a preexisting, pesky long-cranking/non-starting issue which turned out to be a crankshaft sensor. Although there have been two minor oil leaks since (not uncommon in such a comprehensive rebuild), the team at their shop proactively repaired them free of charge under warranty. While the automatic transmission started failing two days after the rebuild, I do not believe that this was connected to the engine rebuild and was inevitable based on the age (and notorious unreliability) of this transmission model. This was essentially a non-issue for me as I had banked on replacing the transmission alongside the engine rebuild. Based on the great customer service, work quality and my experience so far, I would highly recommend Motorworks to anyone rebuilding their engine. 5/5.

I had issues with my engine overheating . My last mechanic was unable to find solution. Which caused me to need to get a whole new engine . I was given a recommendation to go to motor works . Not only did they put the new e fine it, they rebuilt it , their ethic and skills gave me a new car and peace of mind. I would recommend anyone going there. There are top of the line in my book .
