I helped some sailors get into the harbor by lightning the beacon at the lighthouse. I was tired but first I enjoyed the dinner buffet at the port. The beds were pretty nice but we had to wake up in the middle of the night to ward off some pirate bandits. All good though, I give it five stars.

Port Eads is named for James Buchanan reads an 18thvcentury engineer who showed by strenthing the sides of the channel you could use thee rivers current to keep the channel deep. Port Eads is not in Venice it is miles below Venice on the south pass of the missippi rivver and can only be reached by boat .the marina there is first class as a jumping off spot for a blue water fishing trip. Again depends on youru boat. I've been vthere dozens off times you vomfort Levelland again depends what boat you are on and why you are there. Thercare MO facilities such as rooms to stay in or restaurants. It is a marina for boats . Not a facility for people without one. Steve FAULKNER. Many time user and avid fisherman from new orleans.
