So i got kicked out because of this "nasty Google review" not allowed there anymore ? but its fine could've just pulled of to the side and talked about it i would've erased my comment but since gonna be like this then ill express what really goes on here, my comment aint gonna hurt his business since they get commercial loads which they even hardly inspect just throw it in weight it and boom paycheck, they are very linient to trades since they come in with bulks of scrap from their field as for people who bring in random pieces of scrap they are subjected to thorough inspection of their material to bring down the price they frown on having to check its valuable as opposed to simple one material bulk. Good thing I found another scrap yard close by with competetive high paying prices that caters to the common scraping joe moe. People bring in pots and pans and basically anything oh and they take ferrous material as well. I took some of the same material as the picture not with a thin layer of glue but with liquid nails still stuck on there and they took it in as clean!! Complementary fountain drink on the paying booth too. So if u are not in the traits go check out Houston metals i believe thats what is called, its about 15min from there. So this is the comment i got single out for. And I won't be petty lower the stars because I respect ur prices and some of the hard working crew u got there but some of the be snotty to the common joe, one told me nah i aint looking thru that. A bin of different materials i was trying to sell. Changed my mind about this place, very picky, yes they will pay top dollar but it better be spotless, one screw, a little bit of caulk or paint, or just the glue that held it together and they will slash your price in half so before u come here make sure your metal has been throughly washed with shampoo and conditioner if you expect top dollar.

I called a friend of mine from this area because I am relatively new to Houston. He is a very experienced electrician so I knew that he would probably know where to send me. He recommended Astro City to me. I have been to several scrap yards in 5 different states and Astro City treated me the best! One guy directed me where to park. Another guy brought a cart over and unloaded my truck. The first guy showed up with a bottle of ice cold water. Then a third guy explained that since I was new I would get a check today (which would be cashed for free at the Frost Bank, two doors down) but now that I was in their system, I would be cashed out immediately from here on. Also, they post their prices online every morning! This was nicest experience I’ve ever had at a scrap yard.
