On our way home to Miami from Orlando, we had to make a pit stop and luckily we found this modern and convenient Fort Drum Service Plaza! It's located at mile post 184 in Okeechobee on the Florida Turnpike, about an hour past Orlando. They have a gas station, restrooms, a well-stocked market, several fast food places, like KFC, Nathan's, and Dunkin plus souvenir/clothing shops. Nathan's was selling their famous hot dogs! We were in a hurry because it was late and dark. We only visited the restroom, which was very clean and had plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. We felt safe in there unlike some other restrooms in other states. There was also an area to walk your dogs and stretch your legs. It is well kept overall, clean and nicely planned out. The restrooms were pleasant smelling and clean also!! We were impressed!

Lots to choose from, but be prepared to wait, and the only way you can order is through a digital kiosk. Bathrooms are so so not very clean. In my opinion, the wife seems to agree that you do have all kinds of items you can buy in their lovely stores at exaggerated prices, but if you need a quick pick-me-up or to go pee pee, this is a place to go.

Overall a decent service plaza. The place itself is fine, clean, and works well for a quick stop. Nothing special, but everything you need is there. The main issue was the restrooms — there was a very strong and unpleasant smell, which definitely needs attention. Aside from that, an okay stop.
