Called for a price on a set of four used tires, they said $95 a set. That's a reasonable price for four used tires: O.k., great. Was told repeatedly, "$95 a set" during the call.Get there, " hey I called for the four used used tires 215/55 R17. $95 for the set". They bring up the tires, load them in my van, print me a invoice. I go to the next counter to pay "$380"!?"Excuse me, why are these $380 for four used tires?". She goes and talks to the person that I've been talking to, "oh no, these tires are $95 a piece".....apparently "a set" to them is one tire. I call for a set and am told $95 a set , $95 a set,$95 a set repeatedly. Never once are the words "a piece" uttered. I clear out the van, get my 4 yr old daughter ready to go into the cold, drive a few towns, talk to the guy AGAIN, wait in the waiting room, the tires to get loaded in my van, and not until I have my debit card out do I ever hear the words "$95 a piece". Never once was told $380. And then I'm at the pay counter, on the spot for $380. Pretty creative salesmanship getting me committed for the switcheroo at the pay counter. Not appreciated wasting my afternoon.
