My car broke down on Route 81, my insurance used CDC for the towing service. I believe it was Steve A. who towed my car for me (at least that was the name on my receipt). It was towed pretty quickly! Once at the garage there was some debate as to what garage my car should be taken, but that's beside the point. Steve offered to re-tow my car to a different garage since he was headed in that direction. While I still would have had to pay for towing (which was fine, it's his job after all), he didn't have to go out of his way to offer. He could have simply left to go to his next job, but he didn't. He stuck around until I came to the decision to just leave my car where it was. He was incredibly friendly and professional. Hats off to Steve! (Thanks again!).Service: Car towing

Sold me a bad engine. I returned it and got a refund. The staff there were good about it and all but my time and effort of installing it and than removing it were a waste and had to drive 2 hours each way to grab it and then return it which was also a waste of time and money. I just hope they check there parts better next time before selling them off.

Took my vehicle in for an oil change and inspection. Was told that the brakes and rotors were so rusted that they were flaking apart and needed replaced asap. We said we’d do the work ourselves and bring it back for reinspection. Was told we would have to pay to have it reinspected. My husband went out and bought new brakes and rotors but when he went to replace them, he discovered that the current brakes and rotors were in excellent shape and didn’t need replaced.We took my car to a different inspection garage for an inspection without mentioning the report from Shively. My vehicle passed without any mention of the brakes and rotors. There was nothing wrong with them.Will never give Shively my business ever again. This isn’t the first bad experience we’ve had with them. But it will most definitely be the last.

Called to get a replacement hatch explaining that we would still be calling around as I only had two hours until I was on call for my job. Found one elsewhere, figured we needed two front doors so I'd give them the business. Called an explained we did find the hatch elsewhere but we still needed two front doors if they had them. Guy says well you got the hatch somewhere else why can't you get the doors somewhere else and hangs up. Don't worry you won't get my business or anyone's business I know from now on.

Called last week to check on a head gasket kit. They didn't have it in stock. I discussed the fact with it not being available right then that i was going to continue to Work to get in injector out to prevent needing to pull the head. They told me that was fine, they normally stock them so if i don't need it they can just keep it for stock. Then was very rude when i told them that i didnt end up needing it. I should also ad that it was to be in Thursday and they never called to say it was In until Friday Evening. I have had great dealing with this company in the past but they were completely rude this time.

I needed a wheel in a hurry after pounding my front passenger tire into a curb (don't ask), and Shover's did a tremendous job getting the proper wheel for me. I called shortly after they opened, Jim told me he didn't have the wheel I needed on property, said he'd search his network for one and call me back. He called back less than 30 minutes later with the wheel ordered at a price I anticipated (each dealer he works with sets the price for orders) and paid for it over the phone.
