I found the part I was after, yard was easy to navigate, and staff is friendly. My only issue is that at the cashier's desk, they should ask if you want parts warranty, before giving you the total and ringing you up. I was simply given the amount, it seemed about right, but when I checked the receipt, I only realized then, they added an optional warranty. Not the end of the world as it was only about $15. But it was too late, and they cannot refund after that. I suggest cashiers ask if you want warranty, without assuming. That will probably never change, as a business will do what they can to penny pinch. If you're still reading this, remember to explicitly state whether or not you want warranty.

Trustworthy. Called them from Colorado Springs for a 2005 Acura TL nav screen and they sent it right out and gave me a great deal. Good people.

Lukas was great. Within seconds of getting a quote he called me and immediately wanted to help. I didn't get a lot for my vehicle (it's old so understandable) but it's okay because it helped me in a pinch and now once it's fixed someone else can purchase and use the vehicle for their needs. Lukas was knowledgeable and super helpful. Didn't try to sell me on something he just told me how it was and what they were going to do and it was fast. Seems like a good local shop but i ordered some parts from a part our car and didn’t receive several trip pieces i paid for. After asking for a refund for the parts i had paid for and not received i never got a message back. Pretty disappointing.

I waited a month while paying eight hundred a week for a rental. Mr. Crain says he will call you back but never does. He gives you a time to wait for his call but he does not call you. He has no voice mail and puts you on hold until the phone disconnects. He said he knew a man who could repair my car. Instead of just giving me the man's shop number or address which he says the man has his own shop, he wastes my time with endless calls and emails to go to the man via him. He cost me tons of money and time. He left me on hold yesterday for ten minutes until I finally hung up. Family friend or not, when you value your business you do notdoto customers what was done to us.

Excuse the negative reviews. The only people to rate a business are normally unsatisfied people. The No Name review doesnt like tumpies, burger king, bp, or east laurens high.. seems like he may not even like him self :) The other lady is referring to the fact we don't pull parts until they are paid for and that is my policy for my workers. Everybody has those few customers that are not satisfied. For every negative review I have 50 customers a week that leave happy and say how much they appreciate us. We can not please everybody and do our best to provide quality used auto parts at a good price. With that being said I hope whoever is reading this will give us a chance to help you with all your used and new parts needs. :)

I've been to LKQ Savannah two times recently and the first time I went it was extremely busy and right around lunch time. I did not know what to expect upon arrival, so here's what you can expect if you visit LKQ Savannah on a busy day or around lunch time. They sell parts to the public and auto shops / garages and quite a few people (Even mechanics) go order or pick up their parts in person. You have the option of paying over the phone so that your parts are ready when you get there but you still may have to wait in line. On my first visit there were about seven or eight people waiting on parts and the guy in front of me told me he had been waiting for over an hour, luckily I didn't have to wait that long. I'm guessing it was because I got there after all of the counter sales people came back from lunch, so I only had to wait about 30 minutes. I prepaid for my parts so I just needed to get a refund for my core and pick up my parts. That day I was picking up an AC compressor for my 2011 ram and it cost me less than a third of what a new OEM compressor would cost. They gave me the details of the vehicle that it came off of before I purchased it so that I would know how old it was and how many miles it had on it. The compressor was in really good shape and was the exact same part number as the one that came with my truck. It also came with a 1-year warranty which was a huge surprise at that price. It took about 45 minutes from the time I walked in the door until the time I was leaving with my compressor which I thought was pretty good judging by how busy they were. The second time I went it was about 30 minutes before closing, which is 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and there were two people in front of me. This time I was there to pick up an alternator for my RAM and I had not prepaid and I was in and out with in 25 minutes and just like the first time, the salesman that I spoke to on the phone gave me all the details of the vehicle it came off of and he told me who I would need to see when I got there. That part didn't really matter because there was only one counter sales person but my point is they are very detail oriented, friendly, and they work really hard to get you in and out as quickly as they can. I can't say enough good things about this place. I'm from a generation that went to the salvage yard and pulled the parts ourselves. We would have to bring our own tools, search for the right vehicle in a maze of old cars that were missing most of their parts, remove the part we needed , sometimes while working in the mud if it had recently rained, and hope like hell that we had all the tools we needed with us, and then if it was an electrical or AC part we'd wonder if it was even a working part! So having the parts pulled and ready to go before I get there, and knowing how old and how many miles are on the parts, and some type of warranty is a huge plus in my book! The best part about all of that is the original parts that came with your vehicle were made much better and last a lot longer than the aftermarket replacement parts that you get from the parts stores, and if you go buy the original part from a part store or an online source and especially the dealership, you're going to pay way more than you would if you bought one that is used and probably only a couple of years old. The original alternator on my truck lasted 13 years. I replaced it with an identical one that is 3 years old and has about 42,000 mi on it, so it could last another 10 years. I'm pretty sure that aftermarket or remanufactured or rebuilt alternator will not last that long. I know my review is longer than any mechanically inclined person needs, but there's some people out there that just don't know these things and I wanted to make sure I provided as much information as I could for those people. LKQ Savannah is a great place to buy used auto parts and they have great employees and great management.
