I have been to every scrap yard in Stark county and Fosnaughts has always been one of the best yards because they treat everyone. With respect and kindness and always have time their customers. I've never been turned away they are always to lend a hand and give great prices for scrap. They are a small family owned outfit and even when they are super busy stay organized and get you in and out quickly. They treat everyone with respect and kindness and always willing to help out anyone. I love Dave and Annie and have the utmost respect for them and their work ethic. Thanks guys! Deceptive Pricing, Disrespectful Owner—and Disgusting Conditions<br>I am a repeat customer who has been severely disappointed by the deceptive pricing practices at Fosnaught Auto Parts. This is a clear case of bait-and-switch, personally executed by the owner.<br>The Quoted Prices (Before Visit): I called ahead and was quoted rates for two materials:<br>#1 Bare Copper: $3.80 per pound<br>#12 THHN Scrap (Insulated Wire): $2.80 per pound<br>The owner asked how much material I had, and I honestly stated "just a tote full."<br>The Paid Prices (On Site): Upon arrival, the owner refused to honor the quoted prices, stating I didn't have enough volume. Despite bringing in an entire tote of material (including approximately 8 pounds of #1 Bare Copper), he offered much lower rates:<br>#1 Bare Copper: $3.20 per pound (A 60¢/lb drop)<br>#12 THHN Scrap: $2.25 per pound (A 55¢/lb drop)<br><br>The Owner's Dismissive Response: When I questioned the significant price change, the owner told me, "Well, if you have 100 pounds of it or something, we'll give you $3.80, but not for 8 pounds." He then dismissively said, "You can have it back if you want." This minimum-weight policy was never disclosed during the quoting process for either item.<br>Facility Condition Warning: Beyond the deceptive pricing, the facility itself is in terrible condition. It is barely accessible by vehicle, with junk cars lining the driveway all the way to the street. The entire property is covered in trash and loose scrap. Inside, nearly every square inch of floor space, including the walkway inside the cashier's cage, is littered with trash. This lack of organization and cleanliness reflects poorly on the entire operation.<br>I cannot recommend this business. Be warned that the quotes they give over the phone may not be honored, and the owner is disrespectful when challenged.

(Edit) Scrapped another car recently, same driver (the owner.) Always great service. Still sticking with Fosnaught. I highly recommend.<br><br>Found out today, they take all scrap and not just cars. Good to know in the future.<br><br>********<br><br>scrapped two vehicles this week. Got the same tow truck driver both times. It was a quick and easy process. I used to call around now I just stick with Fosnaught.
