I normally don't write reviews on Google, but I received the worst service I ever have at this place. I called Ruben's Metals earlier in the day to make sure that they had the item I was seeking in their scrap yard. During that phone call, they told me that they had it and negotiated a price that I would buy the item for. After we agreed on the price, I took a 25 minute drive to the location. After bringing out the item, the owner then refused to accept the price that we had previously agreed on. Instead, he would only accept twice that amount (and he knew that I had driven 25 minutes to buy this item). Not really a good strategy to win customers..

I called everywhere in town to check the price of complete vehicles. 110 to 130 per ton. I called reubens asked how much they were paying for complete vehicles and was told "130 dollars" they were the closest to my location, so I figured that would work. I towed my truck in with two chevy 350 short blocks in the back. They told me 500 lbs was the weight of both engines combined. A complete small block weighs 575, minus 150 for the heads and intake, comes out to 850 pounds for both. They then waited until they had the title to my truck before they told me that they pay 130 per vehicle, and not per ton. The truck weighs 4200 pounds empty. SHADY AND DISHONEST. IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH REUBENS METALS, YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU GET

Besides a good friend, he's very fair and upfront/honest when it comes to business. He won't short change you or low ball you. Highly recommend for anybody getting rid of a small pile of metal or a giant one he will work with you for pickup or delivery

Your business is promoting catalytic converter theft. Have had numerous catalytic converter stolen off my car lot and from my business. The word is you take any and all catalytic converters. With only requirement is a driver's licenses. Maybe you should have the person who brought in the stolen catalytic converter provide proof of ownership rather then just give it money for all catalytic converters

This place pays well for the scrap and metal, but it took them two weeks to come pick up my car and always had excuses on why they couldn’t pick it up. This place has to be a little more professional and a lot more efficient

Gave us 70 bucks for 1800 pounds of quality scrap. Dishonest. Over heard them saying "what should we give them"? "give them the lower price". Dude we can hear you. Go somewhere else.

Nice small local company, they pay according to current scrap price of the market and surrounding competitors. Sometimes not open in the afternoon probably short handed due to covid.
