After sharing this exerpeince with multiple friends, I decided to write this review. About two weeks ago, I had broken my old 21mm socket and needed a replacement. I sent in my 22 year old son with the broken piece, while I headed over to Rona to grab some other supplies. Surpisingly, my son joined me at Rona not more than 5 minutes later, appearing quite shaken. Apparently, the owner at the parts store had brushed him off quite rudely, pointing towards the socket wall. When my son returned with another question, the owner became irritated and instead focused his attention on a couple that had just entered the store. From the looks of the recent reviews, this type of customer service is par for the course. Without question, this place has lost my business.

It's 2022 and they don't accept debit, only credit cards processed manually. So far behind the times I'm surprised they're still in business. That said, if you have a credit card, the gentleman that helped me was friendly and the product I purchased was less than advertised at larger stores.

I was excited to learn through my wife that this shop was opening a new location in Cobble Hill. According to her friends, the original location had a great reputation. Plus, I've been working on cars for years and tired of sourcing parts in town. Sadly, the recent reviews match the level of customer service I receieved. The "Ken" type shopkeep is an ignornant and grumpy old guy who seems more interested in hearing his own voice than helping his customers. What a shame

It's Sunday morning and I'm looking for a low beam lamp. I was wondering if Jim was open today (Sunday). I googled and found not open Sundays. It was interesting to see the bad customer service reviews, although there are some good ones.Anytime that I was in that store Jim treated me poorly, to the point that I told myself that I would never return.I have probably been in the old location 4 times since 1996 and after reading the poor reviews it reminded me why I do not do business there.

After three attempts, I have given up on this shop. The owner, Jim, has consistently provided horrible customer service. More than once, Jim has used rude and foul language, made racist comments about China, and offered no help with my vehicle projects. He sucks all the excitement out of DIY projects.

Life is too short to deal with jerks like this guy. Every time I've been in there Jim has been rude, abrasive, arrogant and goes out of his way to embarrass you in front of other customers when I've asked simple, polite questions like 'I'm looking for this part'. I wanted to avoid driving into town but I will NEVER set foot in his shop again. I welcome the drive to bring my business to other shops where I'm treated with respect.

Everything about this establishment is run-down and frozen in time. The cleaniness is atrocious, the prices are scandalous, and the customer service is awful. Twice now I've overheard the manager speak unprofessionally to a young lad. I try my best to support local business, but this place isn't worth my time. Frankly, I'm surprised an outfit like this one can continue to operate in 2021.

I was looking for a spark plug wire for my 120 evinrude boat motor. He told me to bring the old one in. He took it apart and added a new wire. Awesome. I ordered a prop for my boat through him. Very knowledgeable man. Great service. Thanks.

Honest service with employees will do everything in their power to help.Have referred countless boaters/travellers to this shop from the local marina, and heard nothing but positive feedback.If they can't help, they'll tell you where to go next.

Knowledgeable advice and excellent service.A few months ago my battery died while I was dropping my kids off at preschool. I got a jump and went straight down to Shawnigan Mill Bay Auto Parts. From past experience I knew that they would be able to help me and they did$ They picked out the replacement battery I needed and then double checked it fit and worked before sending me off in time to pick up my kids.This was not the first time they helped me in a frustrating situation. A few years ago I had a different brand new car that had electrical issues the dealership couldn’t figure out over several months. On my first visit in they suggested an inexpensive solution that that has worked ever sense. My secondary car uses a trickle charger to this day.There is not much worse than being stuck somewhere with cranky babies and toddlers in a car that won’t start. Thanks to everyone here, I’m not stressed out about getting stranded anymore.I don’t have adequate words to express my appreciation. Thank you!
