BE WARE BE WARNED I went to CMC recycling to sell my scrap copper I’m retired from the plumbing business be ware these people working there they will scam you out of the weight of your product they are going to weight it but not let you look at weight of product then print up a false weight in of your product. Then they will send you to the front office with that false ticket and pay you. I had at least 300 pounds of copper that nobody could pick up so they picked it up with a forklift the ticket said I had 85 pounds and 35 pounds which I could pick up my self so pay attention to the weight of your product or your going to get scammed. Your better off going somewhere else.They need to be Audited To be honest.

I normally deal with Angel's or Wright's but thought I'd give CMC a try and it was a mistake. I brought in 200 lbs of #1 copper and after it was put on their scale it only showed to be 194 lbs. Then I was told that it was not #1 but #2 copper because it had "paint" on it which was a very small amount of corrosion and nothing more. After refusing to sell it to them I took it to Angel's and they weighed it at 200 lbs and gave me #1 copper price for it. The scales at Angle's are accurate and they are honest.
