I’ve never had a problem with O’Reilly before. It’s always been my go-to store, even though I’ve noticed it’s pretty common for employees to answer phones while helping customers — which honestly feels rude. But what happened at the store on 104 Capitol Avenue NE really crossed the line. Yesterday, I spent over 30 minutes with Joshua going over a part to make absolutely sure it was the correct one. After confirming everything, I paid in full and was told the part would be delivered. Fast forward to 8:00 a.m. the next morning. I show up, and Ed greets me by telling me… the part was never ordered. Why? Because someone “forgot to hit a button.” So at what point was this transaction about actually helping the customer instead of just taking my money? I explained that I had already paid a mechanic for a scheduled install. His response? “Tell the mechanic to wait till Monday.” That’s not how the real world works. Appointments cost money. Time costs money. Respect costs nothing. At that point, I asked for a refund so I could go somewhere that values customers. To top it off, I was handed my refund in the smallest bills possible — which felt unnecessary and unprofessional.

This young lady rocks!!! She’s amazing!!! Knew parts better than the other “pros” who said they didn’t have our part in stock and installed when the other guys wouldn’t. Thank you Ashley!!!!
