I was helping my elderly friend move into assisted living, and he needed to terminate his trash pickup service with Elite Recycling and Disposal. I called their office twice on a Thursday afternoon and once on Friday morning, and the call went directly to voicemail. Frustrating. My friend was moving on Monday, and I wanted to help him terminate his trash pickup service before he left town for assisted living and I went back home, hours away. So I said we would drive out to the office and see if they could help us in person. I'm so glad we went to the office! The man who did most of the helping was very friendly, as was the woman who came out of the back halfway through our interaction. They were both quite helpful. The woman even knew what kind of trashcan my friend had, based on his address! They were able to cancel his service in no time, and we were on our way. Update: They did return our call about an hour after we went into their office and had the service canceled.

I wish there were another option... 2.4 stars is generous to say the least... last Friday they missed my pickup... Things happen... But I called this morning to be sure they were coming as our dumpster was at capacity and was assured that they would come... So when I returned home this afternoon and saw they had not come so I called... I was told the driver could not get to the dumpster which was not true... I explained to the lady that nothing had changed from the last time... No apology, just that they would not come until after the weekend... I explained that I was full because they hadn't picked up for 2 weeks and she told me her driver was gone for the day... I said that wouldn't do... She then asked if I would like her to close the account... I said yes...20 minutes later a truck picked up the dumpster and hauled it away... They are the only game in town but I will haul it to the transfer station rather than do business with these people...

I want to add a new review to my past one down below. I cannot get the office to call me back. It is so unsanitary to be leaving our trash out front now for two days. The service is not what it promises. The trash trick comes earlier than the stop time for our pick up Anna no one cares!!! We have been satisfied for the past three years of trash service other than our costs were raised to $28.62 a month! But they haven't picked up our trash now in three days! I was finally able to get someone on the phone and she said their truck broke down but that our trash would get picked up that Friday night. Still no pick up and it's Sunday. How can a business function like that!? We are very disappointed and we have no idea how our when our trash is going to get picked up! It's ridiculous!
