I requested an estimate for a timing belt replacement for an older model Honda Civic. I did not go with Andy's Auto Repair for the service because another mechanic had more prior history with my vehicle and given how old it is, I thought it was the safer option to avoid any additional /unexpected repairs that may emerge. Andy's quote was very competitive -- it was roughly 1/2 the price of other quotes I received. What was great about Andy's Auto: Danny, who runs the shop, called me back promptly with an estimate and broke it down, explaining all that was involved and what wasn't in scope. This was important given how involved this repair would be. He said his shop uses high quality gaskets and other parts from a reputable supplier -- these "after market" parts. Danny said he has a lot of experience with this type of repair and provided useful background information that was instructive.
