My dad who owns a body shop asked me to go get a part that he bought from there and I did and I inspected it the best I could and thought it looked ok. When I got the part home my dad who can inspect parts better than me looked at it and saw that the underside of the hood was all caved in so he called not even 2 hours after I got the part asking for a return so I drove back up there Monday and was greeted by a bitchy old lady who said we probably aren’t going to take it back and she got the manger who is also very bitchy and he said he’s not taking it back because I should’ve inspected it (I’m a 17 year old kid in highschool not a body tech) keep in mind the part online said A condition with minor chips which is a very good rating. I told him the hood is clearly not a A condition then he said we probably dropped it or messed with it. Finally I told him we would not be coming back to here and will take our business to other scrap company’s like Pam’s auto down the road 20 minutes or French lake auto that will take stuff back and have good relationships with their customers especially when the customer is body shop who buys a lot of used parts. After I told him that he said “nice truck” talking about the 20 year old truck we use to plow and get parts. Bad experience due to bad people and company rules. Take your business to Pam’s auto or French lake auto

Really disappointed, the part was fine, but the communication was not there. The part that I got had a different connector than the part that I needed. When I asked about the return or exchange policy (before leaving the property), I was told that I need to examine the product before paying. The problem is that they would not remove the part without me paying first, and customers are not allowed to go back and look at the parts before they are removed. Therefore, I must pay before I can see it, and yet it's my responsibility to check the product before paying. I was then told that I should have texted photos of my connector to the office phone before ordering.(Why am I supposed to assume that the office phone is a cell phone rather than a landline?) I was also told that next time I need to have my VIN number available so that they can make sure that it's the right part before I pay. The problem with that is that I had told them over the phone that I have the VIN number if they need it, and I was told that it wasn't necessary. When I showed them the photo of the connecter on my wire harness, they said, "I have no idea what that is."<br><br>It was a really confusing and frustrating situation, and I feel like I was tricked into paying for an un-returnable part before I was allowed to see it. In hindsight, I know that I should have been more proactive about questioning before I paid, but I was not. I will gladly admit that part is my fault.<br><br>Long story short, the product is probably good quality, but I will never know because it's not the right product for my car, and I can't afford to buy the correct product right now because I just spent all that money on an incorrect product that I'm not able to return or exchange.<br><br>If you order here, be VERY thorough with making sure that you and the staff member are on the same page about the product, because there is no leeway or grace in a miscommunication or lack of communication, and it's always the customer's fault.

Found the parts I have been looking for as I return my 1994 Silverado to original condition.<br>Also remembered back to the 80's when I raced a Ford falcon.
