Don’t purchase parts here. These parts you are getting are from forced towing against owners that were lied to or illegally towed!! They do illegal towing! They towed my car right from in front of my house and I was there telling them I live here. I had got a flat tire and was waiting for my tow company to put my car in my driveway. They stated a neighbor reported my vehicle abandoned, which did not matter because I came out telling him it was not and that this was my home. My tags were good and he stated that he still had to tow it (lies) this was a residential area and I own my home. This was Baltimore County, you cannot tow a person from their home for a flat or for a false claim of an abandoned vehicle when the owner is standing there. He then said no worries whenever you come you can get it out for only $150. Not only was that a lie but that was not the basic tow amount charged. At the time I needed to buy another tire and a new spare, so I waited to do that knowing that I would only have to pay $150 to get it out per the driver. The company charged us $1600 including a tow fee of $190 NOT $150 for an illegal tow. When we spoke to the lady there and told her what happened she said the guy who towed us no longer worked there! Making a living off of other peoples hardships is in bad faith! Do not support a company that hurts innocent vehicle owners for a flat tire and then knowingly charges fees that they are unaware of overpricing the total more than the vehicle’s worth! It is unethical and not okay! It can happen to anyone but spend your money at places that don’t do that! I know you can get cheap parts but shop around for other yards or just go to a retail store and get it the right way. Baltimore has other junk part places that don’t do this. Karma exists even if you don’t believe in it.

These people are crooks!!!! They towed my sons van here from Owings Mills. You mean to tell me there isn't a closer place to Owings Mills than White Hall. Then we couldn't find the title. I asked if we could bring a copy, they said no. Found the title and then was told they only take cash. WHAT?!?! They are a bunch of crooks. $800 later and can only pay cash. It doesn't say anywhere that they only take cash. Steer clear from here.

I didn't purchase anything, just had a question. Even though I made no purchase, the gentleman at the register was very friendly. He even offered his restroom if I ever needed to use it when passing by. Will call time to time to ask if the part that I needed is in stock.

Great customer service. Always enjoy doing Buisness with family owned company.

Horrible customer service(not that I expect much from a junkyard staff but still, manners are manners to customers). Told me they had 4 of the vehicle I needed parts for. Apparently they don’t know vehicles like they should considering their business enterprise. Drove to Maryland for no reason. With a better knowledge of vehicles, better customer service and attitudes…the place is large and has potential.

My husband brought me and the kids along for another one of his work/project car ventures. About a 2 hour drive into this rural part of Maryland we came to pick up a nice bumper for our "New" Rangerover project truck. This family owned establishment was so kind caring and hospitable to us (being we forgotten our ropes/ties etc). They really went out of their way to accommodate us. Overall they are the most kindest Marylanders I have ever met. Looking forward to doing future business .

Awesome place that has nearly every vehicle you could imagine in it. The employees were really helpful and nice and removed a rear bumper for me as I waited.

In from out of town headed to a wedding when I blew out a tire in the middle of nowhere when I thought I was gonna be screwed. I pulled into this place and when i went to the front door it was locked but The hero of the day walked out, asked me what was wrong and helped me fix the issue even after he closed. I made it to the wedding and even made it back to NC thanks to the help from these 2 guys working.

Staff is knowledgeable and very willing to hunt for the part you need. This place is a long standing part of the community in the area. You need the unusual part for that tractor definitely call John Brown's.

I picked up a small piece of metal on 439 just at sundown. I was cursing having to change a tire in the dark on a country road. Just then I went over the rise and saw/remembered John Brown's was on 439. I limped onto their lot with a flat and drove off 30 minutes later with a thoroughly professional patch job. I give John Brown's 5 stars only because I can't give them 6.

This was the best service I have ever received. With no hope of finding a tire, they were able to help me without hesitation & I would highly recommend.

If you value your time and your money, and if you expect honesty when you call, then STAY AWAY. I had a previous good experience there. This recent one was a complete cluster bomb because they're willing to lie to you rather than tell you "I'm not sure if we have that part." Is it too much to expect a bare minimum of honesty and integrity from a business? I will NEVER visit again. I needed a driver seat and mirror for a 2000 Blazer S10. I called and Jay, the owner, told me, "no problem, come up we have them." So I was able to get off work early, drove 45 minutes to get there, and was told I would have to search the junkyard myself to find out if they even had the parts. (Umm...I was there because they told me on the phone that they DID have the parts! Why else would I be there in the first place??) They sent me out with a guy who was told where there were supposedly 10 vehicles with my parts, we only found 2 vehicles and neither had seats or mirrors. After hiking all the way to the far corner of the junkyard and back I was not able to continue, so went back to the main shop...not an easy task for an old goat like me!. We get to the shop, and I told Jay we couldn't find the parts. He told me he would find them "tomorrow." I made it easy for him, I actually texted him the pictures of the damaged items from the current vehicle. "No problem, I'll get back to you tomorrow," he told me. After 2 days and not hearing back from Jay I texted him again and heard nothing. After 3 days and not hearing back from Jay I called him, and he told me he would get back to me by the end of the day. That was last week. Obviously, I have not heard back from them, after several phone calls, texts, and actually searching the junkyard myself. No phone call back. No text. Nothing. Nada. Zero. Zip. WHY DID HE TELL ME HE HAD THE PARTS WHEN I CALLED THE FIRST TIME, IF HE ACTUALLY HAD NO IDEA?? WHY DID HE TELL ME HE HAD THE PARTS IF HE EXPECTED ME TO SEARCH THE JUNKYARD MYSELF JUST TO FIND OUT IF THERE WAS EVEN A VEHICLE THAT HAD THE PARTS?? If they had not lied to me from the first phone call I could have saved myself an entire afternoon, the expense of gas, and hiking thru their junkyard for nothing. Does it sound like I'm angry? You bet. If he had simply told me they didn't know if they had the parts and I would have to search myself thru the junkyard, I would have gone elsewhere. Lesson learned: Don't trust John Brown's Auto Salvage.

Go to all the work of getting a part off/out and if it doesn’t work?. . . Well, that’s on you, they say. Even after you paid for the part and prove it’s inoperable. I would call that “THIEVERY”! Will go elsewhere from now on.
