We stopped by Binford recently to drop off some scrap metal and make a little extra cash. The place is pretty organized and takes a variety of metals. Payment comes by check, which ok for us. There was a short line when we got there, and it looks like the wait can be up to 20 minutes depending on when you go. One thing we didn’t notice on their website is that you have to be 18 or older to bring in metal, so we ended up having to come back with an adult. Would’ve been nice if that was mentioned online. All in all, it was a solid experience—I’d give it a 4 out of 5.

I'm sorry but no. It was very uncomfortable for me having to go in and sell the catalytic converters off of my own personal vehicle that I wrecked because I couldn't get any better money for scrapping it. But on top of it the way that they treated me made me feel like I was stupid like I was doing something wrong like I was a criminal and I understand. There's a lot of that kind of crap that goes around but this was a very uncomfortable conversation I had with these people and all I was asking for was the information so I could so I could sell my catalytic converters. Will not deal with the wrecking yard again. I'm sorry but poor. Very poor customer service in the office
