My 2020 BMW needed a new battery. I called the dealership, they said a tech would call me back with pricing and availability. I called two other BMW mechanic shops, one said they'd call me back, the other said they couldn't change a battery at this time. I got online again to search for more local shops, and kept seeing the sponsored ad for 1-800-Battery so decided to check out the website. I punched in my zip code, VIN, and the website generated what battery options were available for delivery with install. I picked one and paid on the website at 3pm. By 4:45pm I had the install technician calling me to tell me he was heading my way and would be at my house in about 45 minutes. He arrived right when he said he would, had the battery changed and programmed within an hour of arriving, in the rain! Everything is working as it should, no issues. I am highly satisfied and so thankful with the quick response time. By the way, I'm still waiting for the dealership and the other place to call me back over a day later!! I'm located near Kansas City, KS.

I posted this to Thumbtack where I found this merchant, only to have it taken down by them within 5 mins. of me posting. So, including here on google to inform people. 1-800 Battery stated they would arrive the same day (Monday) within 2-4 hours, as well as send a confirmation email containing an invoice. The technician was a no show, and no email was sent, even with me attempting multiple times to call, text and chat online. Finally on Tuesday after chat online and calling customer service, a technician showed up at a little after 11AM. The next day I went to my mechanic to check the battery as well as my tires. The health report indicated it was a bad battery and needed to be replaced. They advertise a new battery install, but do not check the battery life when they pick up from their warehouse prior to installing in your vehicle. I requested a refund as they gave me a 3-year warranty on the battery. Only to be told differing narratives. One agent stated I could gain a refund if I returned the battery (would not disclose the location until I could confirm battery in hand). The second stated this was completely against their strict policies that I could only be warrantied out and receive no refund. This version was confirmed by their claims department as well. I requested corporate/supervisor to speak with - have to wait another 24 hours to be contacted. Only today did I finally receive the invoice. So, after all this I paid for 2 batteries, lack of communication and transparency, wate of my time and may be stuck with a charge that should be removed. DO NOT use them; it is a scam to get your money and prey on those in desperate circumstances.

Scheduled a battery delivery and replacement a day ahead, no one shows up and they didn’t bother to contact me. So I’m out time taken off from work and uber costs to an appointment. Don’t use them.
