Customer reviews of Dude Where's My Car-Towing in Yakima, WA
3.2 stars based on 30 reviews- NNoel P
Today was a terrible day. Our car died 45 minutes from Yakima in the middle of nowhere. Ken answered right away and came out to pick us up at 10pm on a Thursday. His calm and cool demeanor was exactly what I needed. If I could give 100 stars I would. Thank you thank you thank you!

Their website says they’re open 24 hours. My car was towed which I know is my fault. I called to see if they had my vehicle because I wasn’t sure which company towed my car. They said they didn’t have it and were very rude and said that I should call in the morning, so I’m not waking people up. Mind you it was 5:30 in the morning the same day my car was towed and again their website says they’re open 24 hours. So if you don’t want to be bothered At 5:30 in the morning when it says you’re open then maybe I suggest you change your business hours. Every other tow place I called was extremely nice and helpful. This place was very rude and unprofessional. Hopefully, if you have your car towed, whether it’s your own fault or not, it doesn’t go to this company. And if you have to choose a tow company do not choose them!

Took 3 days before I found out my van got towed. Never got informed about the tow from the company that towed my vehicle. Phone number was on my vehicle. Incurred 3 days storage lot fees at $100 per day for not being informed where my vehicle was. Guess that's why the business is named "dude where my car". The out come was bill was accumulating faster then the vehicle fair trade value before I figured out it wasn't stolen but towed. The company refused to arrange any way to release the vehicle or make payment plan options as other tow company's would. My final opinion was this was a predatory tow as I found how this scenario was planned or worked out to the bisness owner advantage. So the outcome is I got screwed. I do think he did a good job towing ,but only failed me on the after tow procedure which incurred massive charges. And his customer service sucks. His ability to avoid a hardship was non existent. If I was to rate this bisness He would get a 10 for obtaining maximum fees on 1st towing. I would give him a 10 also on the ability to deliver a unfavorable output and for his upsetting my wife, which made her yell ."he did make my wife cry and yell in less then 30 sec. " Good job" for being able to upset a retired state patrol officer and a 2 nd lieutenant army officer is hard to do. I can only give a 1 for customer notifications after a tow due to excessively incurred fees related to not attempting to contact owner. Give a 10 for quickly being able to cause circumstances which causes a predatory scenario for maximum effectiveness of maximum income . My advice to people who had a good experience he's a great guy and I bet he's a really pleasant guy. And to the other people who had a bad experience, he's not so pleasant to deal with. Because that where he really makes his money. So I recommend you get a lawyer to explain your option on how to proceed and you better know the Washington state parking laws or you will be lining his pockets with money and be taken advantage of, the tow company is only doing what the regutory parking laws require the company to do. My only complaint is he never started out doing the right thing after he got the vehicle to his yard. Good luck and best wishes . I am over this experience and will not be returning to this bisness website because it doesn't help anyone's situation, the comment takes about 20 minutes, wish I could read what comments comes up, but it's not worth my time
