RE: Bland’s Wrecker ServiceWe are parents of a nursing student in Bloomington. Our daughter graduated from IU with her Masters Degree, and wanted to expand her abilities to assist others. Because she loves Bloomington so much, and many friends there, she stayed on to work on earning her RN.Over this past Christmas, our daughter was working a 12 hour shift at the new Bloomington hospital. It was 7:30ish, dark, cold, and her car would not start. What to do? She called AAA who dispatched Bland’s to jump the battery. The driver was prompt, and extremely courteous. Car started, and She went on home. The next morning, Sunday, her car started, but almost didn’t. She had to get to the hospital for another 12 hour shift. Another call to mom and dad. Upset and worried about her facing another cold night, and maybe the car again not starting…dad made a call.“Bland’s, can we help you,” is what I heard. I explained to the gentleman the situation, and then I heard “we will call your daughter and meet her this afternoon with a replacement battery at the hospital.” They delivered as promised with professionalism and kindness.My wife and I live about 12 hours away in South Carolina. What a huge, YES HUGE, relief to have Bland’s there to assist. We are Blessed.Unfortunately this app only allows up to 5 gold stars, but if I could, I would rate them with 25 gold stars. We were so blessed by the service of Bland’s Towing last night. On a busy Friday night they not only called out two trucks to our van on the interstate so we could both ride, but then also gave us a ride home. At no point neither Victor nor Brandon acted inconvenienced by helping us out and maintained an upbeat attitude in the early morning hours. AAA sent...this is terrible but I've forgotten his name...he was EXTREMELY POLITE and helpful...got to me in faster than the quoted time AAA gave, even though I was in a very safe place. Actually in my driveway! I really wanted to give the gentleman a cash tip for doing an excellent job, unfortunately I do not carry cash. If anyone at Bland's knows who he is...please thank him again for me and apologize for my lack of preparedness. my name is Elizabeth Rodda and I have a 2015 black Honda Civic that had a blown out tire due to a pothole. I live in a white house with red shutters on Allendale Dr. S. side Bton. Price Gougers.Charged us over $750 to drive 11 miles (per the Technician's log, they charged us for 17) and back the brakes off on our boat trailer because they were locked up at Monroe and we popped a tire. 1/2 hour drive 1 way and about an hour (1.5 hour max job, we have the phone records with the tech.), so a total of 2 to 2-1/2 hour job ($175 per hour, 2 hour minimum) and they charged us 3.75 hours, plus mileage, plus credit card fees. The only positive was that the tech. was very informative and told us when he got there and when he was done (Like I said, we have the phone records). I could have had someone from Indy drive down for that price.
