Went last Friday showed up at 4:00pm the lady said she was closing early and that they could not take my stuff, ok my fault I didn't realize they changed their hours to 4:15. Any way went in the next Monday at 3:30 gates open but sure enough sign on the door says closed. I've been coming here for a few years now and never had a problem tell now. I probably won't be selling my scrap here anymore, and will not be recommending this yard to anybody else.

Before i even called I had read the reviews and was worried. By the end of the call i was doubtful about claims of being rude. By the time i left i had no doubt it was not true and told by KAREN. The lady up front was so helpful. Guy in the shop was nice. And i aslo saw post saying they close early or get mad. Well thats nonsense cause I showed up past 4 about 410 twenty minutes till close and they didnt mind at all. My guess is people are mad because yes there prices are lower. They have to be, look where there located. So again yes there lower, but its not "half" as much, and at least for my experience the staff/,owners were extremely pleasant.

Customer service has declined sharply with new management. Showed up at 4:27 (though they closed at 5:00). Two employees saw me and rushed inside. I waited patiently in the aluminum area. One employee came back outside at 4:30 and said “we close at 4:30 so.....we’re closed”. When I pulled in there was a big trailer on the scale full of cast iron pipe, they left too, I guess they turned him away also. I’ve been coming here for three years with torn off metal roofs because they have a big area to turn around and a good claw operator but I won’t make an effort to get here anymore.

I would not take any scrap there. When you pull up on the scale, you can't see the weight. She paid me for 640lbs. I knew she was way off. She said it was her mistake, then said it weighted 1260. Then, she shorted me $10 after she re-paid me. I honestly did not think she would screw up twice. It was not an accident IMO. I did not notice until I got home.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME driving here. They don't accept copper, aluminum, breakage, or any small stuff anymore. They have no signs that say this. I called to see if they were open because last time I showed up 45 minutes before closing and they were closed and they said nothing about not being able to accept my materials. When I got there and went inside the lady was extremely rude just said we aren't accepting that stuff and turned around with her back towards me and continued what she was doing on her computer. I asked if she had a suggestion for another scrap yard and she completely ignored me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

This place significantly underpays for your metal, compared to other recyclers. We went there because its closer to our house. Be advised to get there twenty minutes before what time they say that they are closing. Because closing to them is them walking out the door. It does not mean like most places that they will provide services until that time. I called prior to our visit and was told that they close at 4:30. We got there at 4:10 to drop off a modest trailer load, as well as some aluminum, brass and misc. After offset of large load, we went to the section to drop off aluminum, brass etc. And waited for about ten min. before we called to ask if someone was coming out to assist us. After the ten min. wait and call, someone came out to tell us they was closed. I explained we had gotten there prior and it was only 4:27 and we just wanted to finish out our transaction. They kept telling me they closed at 4:30 but I feel that they should specify that they will not w ork past a certsin time or poasibly tell people that they stop assisting people at 4:00 in order to completly service customers and ensure that staff can walk out the door at 4:30.. Its not like we were inconsiderate and showed up at 4:25. For which we wouldnt be helped, anyway. They actually asked if we wanted to come back. After wasting my time, gas and there ridiculously low payout for metal. Absutely not! They would have to pay me. We lost money using this unprofessional business. I advise people to stick to the people who take care of their customers in a fair and professional manner. Next time the extra drive time , will be well worth it!

What the point of having a office phone if you never answer the damn phone

H.B. from yellow page reviews said it correctly they will low ball you after you have unloaded. I called them the day before, and the price was 7.00 a 100 pounds for ferrous metal and I was checked out for 6.00. I called 3 other places after I left, and they said the market was currently still 7.00. They have lost my business, even if the market price goes down all over, I live close to them, but will drive by in the future. I inherited a 15 acre farm and 3 to 4 acres is full of 70's farming junk and a dozen 80's cars. It will take all summer to clear this property. I went back to the property and reloaded my trailer, and took the same typical stuff to Al's Recycling that afternoon, and got a 1/3 total more money than what alpha gave me, and 145.00 cwt for a complete car. Too bad for them.
- BBrandon
Has anyone ever been paid for unloading a ton or more here? I've managed to somehow only make it to 1500 pounds 4 or 5 times in a row and last time I took in a trailer load of truck motors, doors and front end parts.
- JJames Nova
I went in today and the front desk help young lady by the name of Nicole was so friendly and helpful You guys should pay her more ... She works extremely hard and such a nice person
- AAnna Hall
Attention Fellow Junkers :Alpha was my preferred scrap yard. I was loyal to them. My six boys and I were good for about a ton every week. Can't say enough good about them. ALWAYS respectful, professional and fair. Also felt SAFE. Alpha was bought by Derichebourg. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Small scale is broken, un manned, ect more than running. Woman in the front is ALWAYS ON HER PHONE. She has dug it out of her bra in front if me 3 out of 4 times I patroned Derichebourg. Magnet operator occasional helps. Sometimes you have to pester him. Derichebourg owns approximately 4 Oklahoma yards, I will never give my business to any of them.
- SStewart Family
Literally the lowest prices in Cleveland county if you want to give away your scrap I would go here I came in with 26 lb of copper and they told me it was $0.24 a pound but when they rang me up they gave me a dollar ten and told me that the guy was Miss informed on how much copper was going for and it was good copper mined u

- DDarin Free
Took a whole bedfull of aluminum cans. Was told it was only 70 lbs. One of my totes was more than that as they were crushed. What a rip-off! Go anywhere else. Stay away from this joke of a place
- KKendall Jenkins
They will never get my business again, like said before, woman at the counter is always on her phone, rude and can't get your information correct in the system. Low ball you and not informative on there pricing. Lost my 12 years of business.
- hharley rhynes
I was treated fairly. The only thing is I have giant rims that way 500 pounds and it is very to difficult to unload by yourself. A giant magnet would be nice.
- CConnie Willi
Very good experience. Staff very friendly. Backhoe operator very skilled in unloading trailers. He needs a big raise.
