While vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains, our transmission died. After calling various automechanic shops (after 5 p.m. on a Tuesday), we were fortunate to speak with Dwayne from DR Automotive. He came out and loaded up the truck and drove us back to our cabin. Dwayne was very polite and professional. He did not take advantage of our desperate situation and had our truck running and ready that Thursday. We highly recommend DR Automotive. Thanks Dwayne!

If I could give him zero stars I would.I had a few things wrong with the front end of my truck. He quoted me $700 plus some welding work (the welding work ended up being $200). He also said that the work would take a week or so. After two and a half weeks later I got my truck back (he didn't do the tire rotation, the alignment and the ball joint replacement that we previously agreed upon. (He took it to another place to do that work). The truck didn't even make it 200 yards down the road. When I called Dwayne and told him the truck was still not working, he told me to "calm down," and "relax son it's just a truck"; then hung up on me. Needless to say I figured he'd fix his mistakes at no additional charge. Instead, he charged me another $1,100 and another week went by before I finally got my truck back. The total bill was $2,300 and took almost 4 weeks. Not only was his work shoddy, but he was also very unprofessional and rude throughout the whole process.

Most reasonable. Dewayne the owner, treats you with respect. If you need a part hard to get.... He's got it! Blowed my mind! Bigger inventory than first glance. Very friendly staff. Especially Charles and Vicky. We will always be repeat customers.

Might look like a scrap yard, but their prices for parts are crazy high. Total waste of time and completely frustrating. Friendly folk though.Whatever you do, don't call them a pick-a-parts yard even though that's exactly what they look like.
