These people were sent to my place by Peddle. Here's the review I left for Peddle, and this is the towing business trying to pull the grift. I'm a woman, and I feel sure that this factors in. Quoted me 345, which is a little high, but it insured I'd pick them out of the quotes I got. Driver showed up to my home, looked underneath and said that there was no catalytic converter (there was) and he called his "boss". Driver handed me the phone and the boss said that basically since I had tried to sell them a car with a missing cat and had misrepresented the car, the offer was now 120 bucks and he wanted to berate me and yell at me over the phone. I simply handed the phone back to the driver and said "We're done. I don't allow men to speak to me that way, much less on my own place. You can go." He's all like "Well, I don't think you'll get a better offer with the missing part", and I just said "Honey, I'll sell it for fifty bucks...just not to you. Tell your boss to fix his attitude. We're done." I was very confused, because this was crazy. I'd been driving that van. I had all sorts of wild thoughts. I'm sure that was by design, they catch you flat footed and hope you'll make a bad decision while you're mentally scrambling. Having time to think about it, I realized it was a grift. Had my dad (a mechanic) and friend that knows cars jack it up and give it a once over the next day. All parts there. Called Pull-A-Part, (as recommended by some friends involved in 24 Hours of Lemons, so they'd know from junked cars). Driver showed up, loaded my van up, counted out the agreed-upon amount of 305 cash into my hand, and drove away with the van. Call Pull-A-Part. Don't use Peddle.
