We have been a customer for 3 years. We have a recycle and a trash dumpster here at our business. For the most part the service has been as quoted and has been fairly timely. HOWEVER last week I was plowing the snow from our lot. I parked the plow truck by the rear man door, to deactivate the alarm. As I walked into the shop the recycle truck pulled in, and pulled back out. When I called I was told that the dumpster was blocked... And it would be next week when they would return.... a month since last pick up... I explained that I was just inside the door, and was back out as the truck was still in the lot. The lady said "drivers do not get out of the truck, and look for people to move a vehicle".. Guess what... NO NEED to EVER look here again, we will find a new provider,,, porr service and poor customer retention policy...

They never take their time to put garbage cans back down. Ours is currently in our ditch and half in the road. As well this happens to many houses every week down our street. Not everyone may be able to pick up the tipped over cans as many residents are elderly. Take your time and try being considerate of others!

So far not impressed. Missed my house or something. Then called them. Suppose to pick up my trash on wednesday. Still no show up. Now i have to call and since i can only use their trash cans. What am i suppose to do with over trash thats is being collected??I highly dont recommend this place. Im going to go or email a complaint with the town. I EXPECT no worries and my life to go easy since I'm paying taxes for this company.Good-luck for whoever else has them. Maybe my house address can be removed and i can use the money i pay for trash at tax time to take my own garbage. Would rather do that!! I was driving on hwy 29 this morning when one of your trucks was behind me. Whoever he was was pushing me I was doing 73 mph in the right lane. He was so close that all I saw was headlights. Driver should start off earlier in morning not to be driving like that will end out in a accident and hurting someone.

I have been very satisfied with Harter's as our company garbage and recycling provider. Their pricing is very competitive and they have always been responsive, flexible, and professional when I have contacted their office about any questions or special requests we have. Their drivers arrive on time as expected and always ensure our gates are closed once they are done. I've been calling several times wondering why a loveseat was not getting picked up. Every single lady that answered the phone was so darn nice and helpful, I couldn't even be upset.

I have been missed 3 out of the last five weeks and have called every week to inform them and asked to be picked up. They flatly refuse to co come back and service. Always have to wait until the following week to get serviced. Hard to keep operating a company that. Very poor customer service. Other haulers have no issues coming back. They blame the weather and yes it has been bad the last month, but my road has been driveable all winter. If I paid for this service out of my own pocket instead of the township, I would definitely cancel.

NOT impressed with this service. This is the second time they took the garbage dumpster on pickup day. When we call to ask to have a dumpster brought back we are told "when they have a truck in the area we will get one."... a week later. How would they like to have no place to put their garbage for a week? Yet we have to pay for no service. Or the driver leaves the dumpster tipped over in the ditch( this is out in the country). Last week all of our neighbors dumpsters were tipped over too. They need a HUGE improvement on Custer service. Not to mention their truck backs into our yard instead of going to the end of the road and leaks hydraulic fluid all over our driveway.

Would definitely not recommend this service! We have had multiple missed pick ups in recent months. When I call, they tell me they cannot return until the following week. Last week our garbage was scattered all over neighbor's yard when we got home from work. In my line of work, I can't charge for a service and then not deliver what I promised. They should make things right and return to pick up garbage they neglected to pick up. Not good customer service. Maybe this explains why our town is switching to another service on Jan. 1st.

I have contacted harters about their new driver over a week ago and still have not received a response. I was so happy with the previous driver and would have given him 5 stars. This new driver weekly refuses to pick up some of our trash. He leaves trash on the street all over town and is very inconsistent on pick up times.He told us to replace one of our cans that we’ve had for at least 7 years (it’s still in good working order) saying it’s too heavy. We’ve put less trash in it and still refuses. That can’s garbage has been in it for 4 weeks now! Do your job!
