LKQ Pick Your Part - Dayton JunkYard Reviews
4 stars based on 30 reviews- JJason
I knew I might not find the part I want but I’m still a little upset the website told me they had the part I wanted but once I got here with my heart pounding and checked the car out. It wasn’t there. I will still return and hope they have the parts I want for other cars. I’m a little disappointed by the inaccurate website. Update: Upon walking up to front reception, they gave me a free admission ticket to another PickYourPart location that showed they have what I wanted at that location.

I have called the number five times now, and they just hang up on me. I was just trying to price a part and the internet will not let me get on the LKQ site. Also I've noticed that they charge more for a used part then it is new, it's crazy the last time that I went in there they quoted me a 17- dollar park, next thing you know when I go to the check out the guy is talking about 67 dollars. So I said something about it then he went down to 42, being 38 something and some change the cashiers at the Dayton location are quick to overcharge the customer. There's a couple good workers in there but the dude with the dreads seems like you don't really want to be there and do his job correctly period I will no longer be using them
- JJonathan Hetrick
Highly recommend going here if you need auto parts. The guys there were helpful and friendly. I’ve been to several salvage yards and this was by far the best.

I went there to get a couple parts for my 2007 Pontiac Torrent. I was able to find the parts I needed and remove them. The prices were reasonable and I had the chance to get a 30 warranty if i wanted to. Overall I believe Pick Your Part is an excellent place to get used parts for your car.

I was at LKQ 2040 E.kemper rd today I always go there to get tires or other parts but they give a lot of discounts on tires Saturday's so some people are separating all the good tires and they tied it up at lkq to buy it on Saturday's I went for 2 weeks trying to get some tires I never did which I decided to cut off the ones that were tied up I think that it was Thursday I paid full price but I went today and a worker of lkq accused me of stealing 😝 plus he said that I wasn't welcome there it seems that he agree with those people to do that so I called at lkq number but doesn't go through so if there's a specific number to call let me know 👍

Absolutely terrible drivers! I had one with license plate PMJ8117 pass me on a 25mph road in the opposite lane of traffic and then cut off a big truck and continued flying about 50mph down the 25mph zone. He almost rear ended me before he passed me in the middle of town on a small road! These people don’t care about anyone but themselves
- SStarBoardHook
Horrible website. Asks for year, model, make, and even what part you want then proceeds to how all cars with said part. But don't be fooled, these are "compatible" parts. The parts might not actually be there even though it should be easy to keep track considering they sell each part. They have a disclaimer that the part might not be there and that it might not fit. Defeating the whole purpose of their business. And there is no numbers to call the different locations, all of it goes to a call center (who also don't have the location's phone numbers). To even see if the part exists you must pay to go in. Horrible business practice and set up.

When I took my core back the cashier was rude and not courteous. He sent me to another register and that guy took a customer ahead of me with a large purchase. Very rude! I should have been taken first because I was there first and my transaction was quicker. I'm white and both clerks are black. by the way that I was treated I feel that they are both racist. I observed their treatment of the black customers and I was treated completely different. I ask the management to talk to their employees and train them on good quality customer service for all races!

Good selection of vehicles and easy check in and out. They provide water to drink and a sink to clean when done. However the prices are a little on the high side.
- JJon Hornsby
Wouldn’t go here again, people are weird, place is set up stupid to where all cars are just put in a spot with no real organization and they charge way to much for used parts, parts on the website did not match the cost … but I will say the place was pretty clean
- DDoug Jones
Well organized and convenient. I like the model, but they forgot they sell USED parts and they're supposed to be the budget option. I was charged 70 dollars for a window regulator, which of course is used and I pulled it off myself. I could have ordered a new part from Rock Auto for the same price plus a little shipping. No way used parts should go for any more than 50% of new ones.

Couldn’t believe how big the Dayton yard was when I first saw it! They always seem to have exactly what I need and at a fair price. Customer for life!
- SSeth Corley
Very cluttered with parts on the ground . Hard to walk between cars without stepping on other junk.not sure if I would even visit after paying to get inn. Toledo has a cleaner l k q yard but they charge environmental fees.
- JJames Bergfield
Tried calling this place and I pushed 3 for pricing, instead of being transferred to a person after that, it goes back to the beginning of pick 1 2 or 3 I say this place is a joke I would not go here since you cannot get a hold of anyone
- CClyde Sims
There is no price on your website....I called and couldn't talk to anyone.but it says a full list of parts and prices 😞.
- mmegan dingman
I'm giving 5 stars because I'm sure the business is wonderful, but the driver of the truck with his erratic driving almost caused 2 accidents on the freeway within 5 minutes, speeding and cutting people off, he nearly pushed a car into a semi. His plate was to dirty to see to report so that is why I'm going this route.
- BBonnie Ritchie
You cannot get a phone number to talk to anyone there. To get the information you need, not everyone has the internet.
- BBobby Leffel
Great place to pick up used Parts 👍👍👍 My daily work car needed an alternator. $150 new . The car is an 18yo compact w/200,000+ miles so Springfield Ohio SUCKS for Salvage Yards so LKQ it was !!
- RRyan
This place is a damn joke you can buy brand new parts for half their price
- JJim Price
The two woman must be fired they have no customer service skills. The men were great...I bought a door it had bout 3hrs worth of body damage no biggie. I asked for some kind of discount due to damage item both woman said no. Then they told me I had to remove the mirror cause they were gonna charge me extra I understand that but the problem is the mirror is broken and ask them look at it they refuse to look at it until I removed it...both woman need to be replaced
- AApril Quillen
Horrible experience! They actually locked us in! Not sure why there isn't an announcement or check of the yard. Employees were rude especially Ashley who treated us with no manners and took no responsibility for anything but had no problems over charging from the posted prices for several parts. So after the response I have attempted to call the number I was given below but cannot get a human on the line for NOTHING! So now I've wasted even more of my life sending emails and sitting on hold to never get to speak with anyone about this situation. Smh very poor business practices
- TTorriona Robertson
I’ve been calling since they supposedly open up at 9a But it’s now 11:30 in the phone voicemail whatever keep saying y’all are close. Then proceeds to tell me your business hours are from 9 to 5. What’s going on from 9-11:30 to where they can’t answer the phone. And keep referring me to the website, I’m trying to talk to a real person.😒😒skept… (edit: after reading other comments just from three months ago to now It’s looking like they have terrible customer service. No one answers the phone. Walking in the store they’re very rude, will have you waiting for no reason and overcharged you from the first price they told you in the beginning.🤦🏽♀️) Get it together. People got places to be n stuff to get done
- RRenata Fogt
Get what you need for a small admount of cheese gotta get it your self but hey For the price outta worth it.
- PPaul Junior
If you are selling a car to lkq make sure they stand by their price they tell you on the phone because my boy tows cars over there sometimes for people he towed a car for a older black man he said he felt sorry for what they did to him they had him unload the car off the rollback they came out picked the car all over like that was buying a new car and gave him a lot less money than what he was supposed to got but they waited until he got it over there and had it unloaded off the truck before they did it to him that was very very dirty business you do not want to sell your car to LKQ cuz they will not honor what they say on the phone they will get you when you get there if don't believe me try it out and you will see for your self please don't write to explain yourself because you know what you do it's not right cheating people

Best Place to go for Parts out there... (TaylorOil.Inc)
- SStacksOfSlaps
Prices are a little high, got a 2006 manual airbagless carseat from a honda civic for $80. Cars only range from 2002-2012, nothing too glamours about a junkyard.
- DDanny McDermott
Went there to buy a mirror for the passenger side of my Ford escape and was told it was $45.00, I looked it up right then and auto zone had the same one for $36.00, Brand new!! What a rip off!
- DDanielle Madison
Terrible experience selling a car to them. Told them what happened and what was wrong with the car, answered all their questions about the body damage. They said we'll be there between 1-3pm. We wait. Then call us at 3:15 and say that the quote says no body damage, correct ? uh no!.. we told the lady on the phone what happened to it, and then repeated the same thing to the new person on the phone. They then drop the $$ by half and say they can't give us an updated time, just stay home and wait by the phone 🙄 ... So we've been sitting here all day waiting for them and expected and certain amount and now they're really late and only giving us half the money they promised. Terrible experience. Train your people on the phone better so they give people the correct information.
- MMatt Miller
The lady that buys the cars at this location is rude, refuses to ask anyone to assist a customer, and even though they have fork trucks strong enough to move trucks, I was told to use my dolly to put it where they want it and unload in the rain. Then she cuts the price below $300!
- AAdam Fisher
It's an ocean of cars. They had just about every vehicle imaginable. You could even get a printout of locations on the vehicle your looking for. The only problem is not knowing if the part you need is still there or in working condition, but that's the risk you take for trying to be cheap and not just paying an arm and a leg for a brand new part from the manufacturer. Good luck picking your part!!
