I had absolutely no problems. Brought the necessary tools for the task. In and out no time. Wish the prices were a little lower. Received a quote from the one in Joliet, they were close to 30 dollars cheaper than Chicago heights. Only thing

Bought a part that ended up being too big to fit in the vehicle to take. The lady working the desk was unbelievably rude and said because I refused the warranty (which is a scam in itself. Who gets a warranty for something out of a JUNKYARD, that they had to pick and pull themselves? For many things the core charge is a gouge as well) there's nothing they could do to help, even though I would have just taken credit. A majority of this lot is thick mud, with more broken glass than average, and maybe the most cars tipped off their stands that I've seen in a yard in a while. Beware if you're getting under a car for something here.I hope the $80 they stuck me for was worth losing a customer.

The worst junk yard ever been in ... unlike the other ones I go 2 .. they have this big O mountains of garbage & scrap in the middle of the aisles I couldn't gt through it, in almost every single isle the same thing & cars r really old & beaten (parts) lol...so yeah .. bad bad experience ... oh btw, bad customer service ahaha... there were @ 1st arguing with 2 customers then they got outside then back in ... I really dnt kno how that ended up just I left 4 gud 😤😤😤😁😅🤣🤬🤬🤬 so nope 👎👎👎👎👎

I tried calling about a transmission, but the recording was so fast I had to call back twice. Hopefully when I get there the transmission isn't a piece of trash

You can get the parts yourself. Or you can have the company to get the parts for you gor a small fee.

This location is flakey when it comes to pricing and finicky when it comes to certain things. The Chicago location, South Chicago, Chicago heights and Rockford are all nicer to shop at and the staff is more helpful at those other locations but the selection at this yard is much better than most of the others. Other than that lkq is great!

If they don't have it, nobody does. I must admit, the selection is better when the steel prices are lower. I'm usually able to find what I need. Bring your own dolly/wheelbarrow, those go quickly. They slap a bunch of fees onto your parts but it seems to be industry wide. Check the prices against new parts to make sure the prices are in line. Should be 1/2 the price vs new or less. I don't like the fact that Sawzalls are banned now but I figure it's for liability. Sometimes you aren't getting that part unless they cut it off and the price is outrageous. Overall, this yard is probably the most complete in the area.

I almost always find what I need when I go here. In the past you just walked through aimlessly trying to find a vehicle. Now everything in organized and you can pull up a vehicles specific location in the yard on your phone. This saves a tremendous amount of time. I found 8 models of the vehicle I needed in a matter of 15 minutes. I'm so thankful they updated their inventory system. Best salvage yard in the state in my opinion.👍👍

Always good when they have the car I need a part from and if not, they will let me know what other locations do.
