Several weeks back I took my '04 Avalon in because it was a strange noise when I put the brakes on at about 50 miles an hour like what I'm approaching a light. They took it in took off the brakes showed me the brakes said it wasn't the brakes and they only had one mechanic there and said if I wanted to find out exactly what it was and bring it back another day and I'd have to pay for a diagnostic. Later I took it to Brakes Plus and they took a picture of this dust shield. You can see how bent up it is. Apparently somebody took a pair of pliers to it trying to keep it from possibly making that noise which didn't work. Now I have to get a new dust shield.

UPDATE: The mechanic at this Pepboys location sabotaged my car by removing a part and not replacing it! They also refused to provide a receipt or detailed invoice for the alleged work done (how does a company charge for removing a part and not informing the customer?). Not only did they disable my wipers, it also disabled my blinkers and brake lights! I live on a dirt road. I need to use my windshield wipers frequently to clean the windshield. Used them when I got in the car to take it to this location for diagnostic on AC. Was told the whole AC system would have to be replaced at a cost of $3,600 or more. I didn’t use them, but the next day I tried to use my wipers. They didn’t work. Took the vehicle to a reputable shop. They found two things: the previous mechanic had removed one of two relays for the wipers (I never requested or asked for work to be done on the wiper system!) and the only thing the AC needed was a compressor and recharging. Including diagnostics the cost of repair was 70% less than Pepboys, and that included the wiper relay that had been removed. No way I can recommend this shop. Caveat emptor! (Buyer beware!)

I just picked up my truck today "Ram 1500 Big Horn" and I couldn’t been more impressed. Everyone was extremely accommodating and took care of every issue I came in for without any hassle. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. It’s rare to see a team operate this smoothly with such positive attitudes. The store manager / owner should be proud; and I hope these fine mechanics and crew are recognized for the outstanding job they’re doing. 10 out of 10 WOULD recommend this location to anyone needing honest, reliable service!
