I took my hybrid in after hearing a rattle (which I suspected was the head gasket but held out hope for something minor since I had spark plugs replaced elsewhere). It was clear that these people are highly skilled mechanics and I sensed their honesty immediately. After thoroughly examining the engine (which included use of a borescope) Matt gave detailed feedback (and it was the head gasket). He explained my options which were expensive but also what mechanics deserve to be paid given the labor required. I was about to ask what he would do in my position when he told me point blank to trade it in for a new one. Matt and Bill (the owner) were kind, compassionate and helpful. They even added a liquid sealant (free of charge) to buy me some time while I car shop. I’m so grateful for their help. I left feeling respected and cared about, as opposed to overwhelmed and stressed!
