We used this state park in January and we were overall pleased. The scenery and the ability to still have the option to either drive over or take the trail over the beach was wonderful. Dogs welcome on a leash. Rangers were helpful. One thing to note is that you really want to make sure you reserve your spot online before 2p if you choose to leave your options open of where you will stay. We were paying cash every morning about 9am and there was only day that it seemed the site had been double booked. They don’t seem to mark the spot reserved if you paid cash, so you may end up having to move like we did.

Nice State Park with campground and access to the Puget sound and beach. Lots of hiking trails to go exploring. Dog friendly if on a leash. Before venturing out to the state park, get yourself a discover pass. It's relatively inexpensive and supports the state parks. Plus, you'll need a Discover pass to park your car in the park. You can also buy a 1-day pass at the park. Overall a great place to visit and take in a little bit of nature.

Wow! Great trail. Well maintained. Family and I had an amazing walk here. There is a campground close by and not too far from the water. Beautiful area. Lots of bench to rest if legs are tired.
