The dam, mountains and lake are beautiful. What I like most is the dam's design and how well integrated it is with the surrounding mountain. It's definitely from a bygone era. Sadly, the locals don't seem to care much about the surrounding area. They use it as a giant receptacle for their discarded beer containers and refuse.

This unique dam is worth stopping at. The architecture is from a time past. It's a shame that the dam hasn't been kept up and because of damage a new fence has been added to obstruct the views.

If you are fascinated by engineering and architecture this is a nice stop. The drive there is a bit bumpy but a sedan can make it easily. The dam and view points could use some restoration and clean up. It would also be nice to have some historical plaques telling the purpose and impact of its construction. There are some nice views, I would love to come back closer to sunrise and at night.
