I love the staff at Anderson's! They're good hardworking and down to earth people who consistently make an effort to do their various jobs with excellence and they still make the effort to treat their customers with respect and kindness. The overall attitude is one of positivity and they're quick to smile and laugh with their customers who are comfortable enough to do so. However, it is my understanding that they have been bought out and for me that transition is off to a rough start as its cost me. You see they've closed hours early twice now when I've driven there from nearly 30 miles away with over a ton of steel in tow. To have to turn around and go back with that load is exhausting especially knowing that it's for nothing. I work incredibly hard gathering separating, and loading the scrap metal. To have to waste the gas and put the wear and tear on my truck and trailer not to mention my time of which I never have enough....I would hope for some kind of overture rather than the curt. "We'll be open Monday." There was a tiny sign on the door and the second incident the added it in the website last minute but I didn't see it I guess I'll wait and see what they do with pricing but if I catch another closed door during regular business hours due to a "company meeting" or "inventory" or the like then I'll likely be taking my hundreds of thousands of pounds of steel plus the nonferrous business to Denver where at least I can find another yard that is open during business hours. For now I'm feeling pretty burned and have a hard time recommending a company that could be great but for some completely undermining management choices

My dad and I have been picking through their yards for years from Greeley to Cheyenne and they have the best prices on parts that we've found. Sometimes their inventory is lacking for certain things, usually specialty, but that's the way it goes in the yard. If you've turned a wrench in the yard and expect the inventory to be in abundance that tells me one thing about ya "weekend warrior" 😆😆

Alright first two pictures is the damage that employee caused at Anderson's scrap yard which I know all damage to property they are not liable but when an employee jumps out to hide the damage and causes even more instant of damage which is the last two pictures took a lot of will to get the tailgate off don't think they should have touched my truck that was wrong probably could have fixed it a lot easier and not destroyed my tailgate in the process but do the fact that they slammed it up and I could not get it to go back down so I could not take anything apart to work on it I had to use crowbar and sledgehammer yay thank you I hope this helps

So I spent over 4 hours cleaning my grass today and I sent my wife to you guys with the two pieces of dirty brass I'm right on top and I told her to make sure that they took it off and you know pull the two pieces of dirty brass off the rest was clean and you guys gave her a took advantage of her being a girl and gave her a dirty price dude and it's very unprofessional very rude and I feel like because she was a girl you guys took advantage of her I mean that's crazy I come to you guys every day I know my mother was clean and I can't believe you guys would do that to a girl

There is a core charge on EVERY single thing you pull off a vehicle. Do yourself a huge favor and find a different salvage yard.

Great place to buy used parts, they sell everything for dirt cheap compared to other yards. You can’t beat $125 for a whole bottom end of a motor! Plus they have a month exchange guarantee on some parts in case something goes wrong. Been a customer here for years, always gotten great deals

My scrap yard! Havent dealt with the pull it yard, but if anything like the scrap side, I'm sure its amazing. Every employee I've ever dealt with here is above professional! Scale guy is always right on! I apologize for the freezer with the closed lid....😉 Ive learned to take the lids off so he doesnt have to go around and open it! (Had to give ya a hard time once I suppose! 😁😁 Keep up the good work!

Someone in the U-Pull-It has some professionalism issues, hung up on me mid question. Don't think I'll be interested in taking my business here, horrible and unprofessional customer service.

Always helpful and courteous. Tends to have what I'm looking for and gives fair market value on all deals. I've dropped off many vehicles and pulled many parts, this place has consistently been a saver for last minutes self service repairs. Being the only close salvage yard is handy, but with anything else comparable so far away it's good that they try so hard to maintain a balanced selection.

Please update your hours. We drove 30 min to get here and it was closed. Update: Thank you so much for your response! I ended up driving back on Monday and the guys were fantastic! I did get a flat tire from a chunk of metal that got lodged in my truck tire, but I know that's a risk of going to a metal yard. The guys were very gracious and helpful.. thank you.

Friendly people, good help when you need it, just know that they do not take scrap on the weekends. Only Monday through Friday, which is where I messed up as i showed up on a Saturday. But after the 120 mi drive home and then coming back on Monday morning an amazing place I will definitely frequent them a lot more often than I have been.

This is the first yard I go to when looking for parts. Best prices in Northern Colorado. New inventory is added almost, if not, daily. I come here sometimes just to kill time and look for things to buy that I probably don't need. That's the benefit of no entry fee. To all the people leaving 1-2 star reviews, they don't understand that you are responsible for your own property (tools, wallets, parts being brought in) and yards shouldn't be expected to bend over backwards to babysit you and to give you some crazy good experience if you are a responsible adult.

  • J
    John Rohleder
star iconstar iconstar iconstar iconstar icon

Don’t bother with this place if you are going to scrap metal… the guys at the entry are more like investigators than scrap guys… just go to Erie they are more laid back

They pay better prices for metal and copper than salvage yards in Cheyenne. People working there are very cool and will help you in any way they can. I would recommend them over any place in Cheyenne it's a 45 mile trip but it's worth it if you got enough to sell thanks for reading my reviews

We called ahead to make sure of what time they closed. They confirmed a 4 o’clock closing time, even though google said 5:00pm. We were driving from 40 minutes away, left right after work, hit a train and arrived at 4:00 on the dot. They wouldn’t help us even though the guys were still there (the guy was literally still in the scale house closing the gate) and we explained our situation. It was disappointing to experience the lack of professionalism and care from Anderson’s. I wish the trip had gone differently, it will be hard for me to give Anderson’s my business now.

Some of these reviews must be generated because there is no way the u-pull it section is kind and helpful. I just inquired about a car between a certain set of years and then was told with attitude (as if I’m bothering them to do their job) they don’t have the cars in stock as well say that they don’t have any Hondas or Acuras of any sort, just to get me off the phone . Every junk yard has atleast one Honda . If you think I’m going to drive 2 hours to come deal with BS service and attitude from a guy that obviously doesn’t want to do his job then you have thought wrong. I would never go to this yard even if they were giving away brand new parts for free.

Always have been professional dropping truck loads of scrap off here. Nothing bad to say about Anderson Salvage. They have an awesome model collection inside you should check out. You can tell a lot of work was put into their mini show room of collection pieces and models. If you like war history you will really enjoy the models inside the office. Pretty cool.

Kenny Anderson and every one has always been fair and honest with me.i had a two piece convertor that i brought in they bought 1 section of it right then, the second half was hard to find a price.it sat over there for 21 days.when i asked kenny bout it , he said yup found it here is your ticket. $78 bucks. I understand its not always that way.not everyone is gonna be happy with scrap price.its not 220 a ton anymore.but in northern Colorado its your best shot.they have always been cool with me.im there 3 times a week.

My husband went in today to get some tires for our car and another item when he went to pay they took his payment and then he showed them his toolbox so they can see in it and he had lights from our Audi and they accused him of taking them from the yunkyard so they were charging him for them and he kept telling them that does were his but they didn't listen so they took his money and didn't let him take his tires so they charged him for something that was already his.. So my husband told the employee to give him the receipt for what he was charging him for and they denied it so they took his 50 dollars and no receipt and no tires that we desperately needed. They even threaten him with calling the cops and my husband told them to call them if they wanted because he wasn't doing nothing wrong.

Google listing says they are open since 7:00am. The real schedule from 8:00. Have to wait for them to open 30 minutes. It would be nice if they would fix that. So customers would be able to plan the day better.
